I suspect you could order a triple clamp from some other outfit besides cc products. DeVern and Dave Chapman and Doug have St's. Yes, you will have to get a short center stand etc, or could probably shorten the one you have. You may also beable to find an after market shock such as works or fox that would fit the bike as well. I would assume that there is an online owner's group for ST's that might have some information. If she is fairly close to being tall enough for the bike, I would suggest either lifts in her boots, or a bigger heel, before I would go to all the work and potential handling shortcomings that could be caused by the lowering of the bike. However, I think that most would agree that it should be posted on the web site because it's a club activity. Similarly, communication while riding enhances the ride to some, so it would not be inappropriate to put on the site to allow club members to communicate while riding. It's a small thing to do, so I offered. In addition to enhancing the ride, it offers an extra level of safety and protection to a rider to be able to communicate with others, particularly when the you're out of cell phone range. Now, as a mater of privacy, it's not likely to happen, so no worries. As for the schedule of upcoming events, I'll put it on the site when I get it. I am a certified IDIOT. The last thing I intended was to cause any topic of conversation to emerge among my fellow Beehive Beemers. 90% of my intended use of a ham license involves motorcycling. There are actually a fair amount of our members that share that pursuit as well. I just thought it would be nice to have everyones call signs. There are of course many ham clubs, I have joined two and they all have great web pages, and electronic forums for finding out any body in the whole USOFA's ham sign, home address etc. I will never bring up ham radio or call signs again in this forum. I will safe it for private conversations, as I should have in the first place. Please execuse my lack of judgment. Our VP has been working very hard to get the club activity schedule finalized for the coming year, and currently has it pretty well in place. Check this month's Stinger. This Information will be included and updated as necessary on the club's web page. Now you have questioned the discussions of Ham radio on the mail list. Just mark it up as initial enthusiasm for some of our club members who have recently obtained their license and are discovering the potential for enhanced motorcycle communications between rider and passenger, and bike to bike. I know not everyone will be interested in this topic, but I believe it can be useful to anyone who may wonder about the possiblilities, particularly in light of recent advances in technology regarding cell phones and radio spectrum where licensing in not required.
