I had my Luftmeister fairing with lowers and saddle fuel tanks painted at a place on third west. He let me get the paint and stuff from Glasurit so it would match. All of the aforementioned cost about $200. I forgot the name of the place. But I will drive by it and get the name if you want. Let me know. Deav - -----Original Message----- From: Rick P. The main entrance is from the alley. I'll drive by and report back what the name is. Yes, it's true. I accompanied Thane on his quest to CA to propose. It was a grand adventure in late October...cold temperatures, blown fuses, flat tires, chains-only over the Sierras, 80 mile detours, stunning autumn scenery, mud flows across the road, misty mountains vistas, running along-side trains down Feather River Canyon. All for the big mission. This was high-drama. Great fun! I just realized that we have not formaly congratulated Thane on the list. Seems you could tell the actors and actresses were having fun making this one. Anne mentioned she really like the bubble bath, candles stemware scene. Though we both thought the story line was weak. Did you know that this is the first "Star Trek" movie to computer generated special effects. They seemed to look better? Today is Anne's birthday and she is at school through Wednesday at 3 p.m. I better get off this computer and go get a cake and roses for a special lunch for her before she threatens to join the previous life ( i mean wife). Bob Ok, here we go. the top ten reasons why I was disappointed in the new Star Trek movie: 10. For all their techno-wizardry, the Federation still hasn't realized that you don't turn a spaceship by banking it. Geez, I hate bad science.... 9. Briar Patch? Briar Patch??? C'mon, isn't there ONE original writer on the staff anymore?? 8. Geordi with eyes. Some reference points in a character are best left untouched. 7. You really expect me to believe that a society capable of warp drive will spend it's time digging in the sand with dibble sticks to plant roots?? Ok, I'll give you this one-- maybe they're all Krishnas at heart. 6. Klingon Zits. I really didn't need to see this..... 5. Abdication of the Prime Directive. Any Trek writer worth his salt would know that while everything else is fair game--corrupt Federation leaders, broken treaties, bad science, whatever-- the prime directive always has been and always will be inviolate. to ask us to believe that the Federation itself would knowingly abandon the PD is as ludicrous as asking us to believe that politicians will stop lying. 4. Troi's new uniform. Where were all the zippers when Riker needed them??? 3. Deus Ex Machina strikes again. One of these days the timing will be off and Piccard will get blown to hell, instead of being miraculously transported out of harm's way. What the heck, at least we know what MacGuyver's offspring are doing in the 24th century... 2. And just what the hell WAS that piece of hand-woven frippery that Piccard had draped over his head?? Looked like he got confused and had it relocated to the wrong polar region of his anatomy... 1. Last, but not least, the biggie: STILL NO MOTORCYCLE CONTENT. Given the natural attraction between aircraft and motorcycles (ever notice how many riders are also pilots) they still continue to ignore motorcycling in the 24th century. I'm not even asking for any action shots, here-- I'd be happy with a scene set in a museum where some truly outdated, quaint, antiquated POS equipment was on display. Maybe a K12LT in the background of the scene... :^) DeVern - - ------------------------------ End of beehive-beemers-digest V1 #31 ************************************
