First of all, he stays in her house because the Three are waiting for them and she's trying to protect him. Secondly, she brings him food. Now, When I saw this part, I knew that he wasn't going to eat it, because he can't. Why would she bring him food if he's a vampire? Thirdly, I agree with Brenda when she stated that Angel lost control of his vampire face when he was kissing Buffy because his emotions were strong (you know how men/boys are...they lose control of their hormones/body :D). If you are familiar with FK, you can see the correlation. Nick can't do anything passionate with Nat because his hormones kick in and it's vampire-city. Same deal here. Nick also can't eat regular foods, although he tries in his quest for mortality. I don't think Buffy would allow a vampire in her room with her mom at home, even Angel. Too risky. Season 1 (a midseason replacement order) is 12 episodes, while season 2 (full season) is 22 episodes bringing the total to 34 shows overall. I admit that when I heard they were doing an Internet episode, I was immediately wary. Thought this had a high potential for suckage. It didn't. It was great. A couple of quick comments: 1. The villain looked like Magog (for those of us who are comics readers, that could be a Kingdom Come reference, but I'm sure you'll want to go back further to the Biblical reference), but I'm sure his name is properly spelled MALLOC, which for those of us who are CompSci majors is a C or C++ term for Memory Allocation. 2. What a GREAT ending. I want a .mov file of that. I want the .wav file. It was great. 3. "My Spider-Sense is tingling." !! Again, as a comics fan, I loved it! 4. Just to balance things out, I suppose I should be offended at the way they kept showing off Buffy's body with more incredibly tight shirts and short skirts. And furthermore, that grautuitous crotch shot under-the-skirt of Willow towards the end there is patently offensive. (Please read all of the above with a sort of sarcasm.) I was more impressed by this episode that I thought I'd be. Keep 'em coming! It did bring in hopefully a new regular - the computer teacher. Does anyone know if she will join the cast as a regular or semi-regular. A) Xander was actually nice tonight. Maybe he does care about Willow. B) I realize that the same make up people who work on Babylon 5 work on this show but come on. Except for the horns Malloch looked just like a Narn - even the eyes. C) I loved the end when Giles said the differences between books and computers were tangibility and smell. 100% correct. D) Techno-pagan has anyone ever heard that phrase before. E) I thought it was great when Willow, Xander and Buffy were talking about their bizarre love experiences - most shows rarely refer to other shows. Very happy with the episode, didnt have the impact of Angel or The Pack but filled with memorable moments and hilarious scenes. Where to start....where to start. I guess with Willow. Very nice to see a Willow episode, very interesting how Moloch played into her insecurities and it was nice to see her inner strength in resisting his line. Willow really shined in this one, her ability to figure out what was happening as well as her courage to attack Moloch-bot with the fire extinguisher. Xander, I got what I wanted Xander jealous of Malcome. Among the many great Xander moments, "I can know stuff", "Reading make us talk good", the Buffy landing Xander drop, and finally my favorite one "Hey! I got to hit one". Giles, This ep was also a Giles episode. The relationship with the computer teacher was fun and I really loved his reason for loving books. Once again Giles knowlege of the arcane saved the day (he is really good at casting counter spells). The techno-pagans were interesting kind of witch/hackers. Buffy, I dont know why but she seemed a little ditzy this episode, not as clueless as Xander but just out of it (course she just went through an emotional wringer with Angel). Still had some classic lines. There seemed to be a bit of a reversal in the group dynamic. Buffy usually hangs with Willow while Xander is off doing who knows what and they talk about Xander or whatever. This time the situation was reversed and it appeared that Xander was more of a friend instead of the goofy buffy worshiper. Finally, one of the absolute best scenes yet, Buffy,Xander, and Willow talking about relationships. Buffy saying she was in love with a vampire, Xander saying he had a crush on a praying mantis, and Willow hot for a robot demon. The look on all three of their faces after they laugh that they are all doomed never to have a relationship is priceless.
