I think that Darla had some kind of "feeling" for Angel, but I think that it would be only the dark reflection of what humans call love. Possessiveness, perhaps. Her mother had a 'thing' with a vampire in the Islands and they had a daughter. Did anyone else see this? Does anyone have thoughts about a half-vampire possibility?" This possibility of a Vampire and a human having children is a basis for a story i'm writing. In the anime "Vampire Hunter D" they are immune to all of the things that kill harm regular vamps(if I remember correctly). There is a comic book on the market by DC under the Vertigo label called "Dhampire". In this story the child is born stillborn and gets revived. If i'm straying from the point i'm sorry, this is my first time posting on this thing, YAY! But I doubt that Angel and Buffy will ever get it on in the series, this is after all somewhat of a family show. But it would be interisting to see the outcome. Anna says, "1. There was one that involved a young boy getting a blood transfusion in grandpa's barn. (Night something or other) Transfusions aren't original...it was just the absurd scene." The movie was called "Near Dark" which starred the guy from Millenium, the Guy from Twister, and the guy from the now defunct Profit( sorry I can't recall any names but i'm a bit tired) and in that story they drained the Vamp blood out of the body and replaced it with human blood. It was kind of stupid but what the hell who says it wouldn't work? I don't think that it would work for angel because in the Buffyverse Vamps are basically Demons inhabiting the human body right? So that would probably call for an exorcism. Anyway, again, I am a Buffy mailing list virgin so i'm still new at this. When I first saw "Angel" I assumed that Buffy was angry with Angel (when she found him in the kitchen with her mom) mainly because she thought he was attacking her family and violating her trust. But recent posts have reminded us that feeding can ba construed as an erotic act. Darla, Jesse, and the other vamps enjoyed going to the Bronze, picking up on people of the opposite sex, taking them to a secluded place, and biting them, the way others would go about sex. So, was Buffy also partly jealous in perceiving that Angel had been sexual with her mom (putting his lips and teeth on her neck and leaving behind the proverbial "hickey from hell")? This would be akin to the blowup in "The Graduate" when Elaine Robinson finds out Dustin Hoffman, her boyfriend, has been involved with her mom. But after he came back, all confident and strong, and made her dance with him, and told her to shut up, she said something to the effect of OK, just one dance. Do you think that meant she was now suddenly intrigued by him (was it slamdunk obvious)? ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 30 May 1997 13:51:16 -0700 (PDT) From: hbaraza@ucdavis.edu Subject: BUFFY: Angel & Buffy poll Thanks to everyone who responded to the Lost Boys question. Interesting feedback. I guess it all comes down to the writers. Anyways, out of curiosity, I just wanted to know what you want to happen to Angel and Buffy's relationship a few years from now (I'm very optimistic) when the show ends: A. Angel is cured by whatever method and Angel and Buffy watch the sunrise for the first time together. B. Angel dies, and Buffy tries to get on with her life. C. Buffy almost dies, but Angel converts her into a vampire. Then: 1. Buffy and Angel to continue to fight/slay vampires. 2. Buffy goes bad (is overtaken by the demon). D. Both Angel and Buffy die--either killed or committed "suicide" like in Forever Knight. E. They both live, but they live with the knowledge that they can never be together. F. Something else. I personally would love the happy ending A offers, but I think B and E are more possible. If it were only Vampires, like in the movie, this might happen, but in the TV-verse there are all sorts of demons and big bugs and stuff to Slay too, so Buffy's abilities are probably safe even if by some weird chance all the Vampires up and died at once. >another way this could all be solved: if you kill the Master, the >next most powerful Vampire simply takes his place, which works out >nice if Mark decides he doesn't want to do th'show anymore. This is true.
