I'd already looked through the Young Adult section and found other books by Richie Tankersley Cusick but not the Buffy book. I asked the nice young man at the cash register when they would get the book in. He said they already had it and showed me where it was. It was in the Young Adult section, but under B for Buffy, because it's easier for people to look under the name of the show than the author -- most of these TV-based novels end up having many authors, so it's easier to group the books together under the title of the show. So don't give up yet -- go back to the Young Adult area of your local bookstore and look under B, and you should find it. I didn't see the movie so to everyone who did, who exactly is he and what exactly does it mean? Also, a thought. I know the movie didn't have to be exactly like the show, but I just need to say this just to think about. In BTVS the movie, Buffy was the HEAD cheerleader in a big popular city: Los Angeles. He expects the ratings to pick up for this upcoming year and they are very happy to have BTVS as part of their programming. So I guess all the recent discussion about BTVS possibly going to Fox will probably never materialize because it seems like Mr. Kellner wants to keep it on The WB. What really caught my eye about this article is a particular picture in it. In the foreground is a bunch of WB executives and in the background on the wall is what appears to be a very cool poster of BTVS. Wondering if anybody out there know's where I could get one. "Jonesing" is orginally from heroin subculture where it meant a strong craving for a narcotic, especially in the early stages of withdrawal. To "have a really bad jones" for a drug is to need it badly. It has since spread out to mean a strong craving, desire, or need for almost anything, even a person. The graphic I'm using *will NOT* be the "xmission" one that someone has mentioned. That graphic was released about three weeks *after* I made an all-call for artwork and no one responded. Because no one responded at that time (even to say that they were working on something) I went ahead and had the screen printer design something for us. I'm pleased with the design and because the printer has put time, effort and (I have put money) into making it, that's the design we're going to go with. It does have font that says "Buffy the Vampire Mailing List" and the list address, but it's not an intergral part of the design. The design itself is two fangs with the words "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" between them. I'm going to try and have it up on a web page ASAP, but it was made using Corel 4 and my computer won't export it into .jpeg or .gif format, so I have to go hunt down a scanner (unless someone would be willing to convert it for me). Thanks, and I'm sorry for not correcting this earlier, kimmie ________ Kim Sefcik, Richie Reservist (Clan Denial) ~ MFWC & PWFC ~ Wombat Extraordinare ~ Chancer ~ Cousin ~ Early Edition Lover and Yet Another Bleepin' X-Phile Keeper of Giles' Past / Keeper of Angel's Lower Undergarments Secretary of the GASPers / Maintainer of the "Strange Luck" FAQ "I am Richie Ryan of the Clan... wait, can we try that again?" ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 23 Aug 1997 16:25:24 -0400 (EDT) From: IMALwayzMe@aol.com Subject: BUFFY:Oh boy, this again. >Hi anyone have a list of all the mailing lists you can join? please send >them to meeh personally. Too late, it's already in existence. Check out the movie "Sundown: The Vampire in Retreat" with David Carradine, Bruce Campbell, Maxwell Caufield, Deborah Foreman and many others. Really funny with some great scares.
