First off, I am operating under the assumption that Angel will one day turn good again. I want to wager that TPTB will pull a Star Trek stunt and "the first one to die" will be someone who is just introduced on that day's episode. Perhaps an "old" friend of Buffy's will make an appearance, or a new aquaintance. The group dynamics probably couldn't sustain a death of one of the "inner circle." Jenny is probably the most vulnerable, but if he kills her, that would really make it impossible for Angel to be accepted into the "club" if he turns good again. - - ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 18 Feb 1998 10:47:17 -0800 From: brana Subject: Re: BUFFY: Seth (Oz) a regular Here's a thought.... (Trailer Speculation) Aside from the obvious hinting at Jenny C. as Angel's victim in the trailer (which could be a red herring), Jenny would be a natural candidate for him to go after. As a Romany descendant, and internet savvy technopagan, she is the most likely slayerette to gather the resources to restore his soul again, something the demon definitely doesn't want. Good to get *her* out of the way quickly. So perhaps he does "kill" her, by turning her into a vamp. Wrong about the pagans. You're lumping all pagans with Wiccans, which is the same things as saying "Christians/Protestants" or "Hindus/Buddhists". Wicca is a branch of paganism. And there are *many* different types of paganism: Welsh, Irish, Asatru, Norse, Greek, Roman, et cetera. And most of them do not necessarily worship Diana. Case in point: I am pagan. My deities are in the Greek, Irish, and Tibetan pantheons. Note: no reference to Roman, therefore no Diana. Sorry if I sound like I'm jumping down your throat, it just erks me to hear of people who lump pagans and Wiccans together. They are *very* different animals. * Amber * * Amber SilverWolf/Lolandrea Psikine'Aelanar/Elektra/O'mra * * * * http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Delphi/7969 -Amber's Domain * * http://members.tripod.com/~Lolandrea/ -Castle Amber * * http://www.angelfire.com/ny/samilani -Samilani * * http://members.theglobe.com/lolandrea/ -Ryv're/ * - - ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 18 Feb 1998 15:08:12 EST From: Jtrsjuliet@aol.com Subject: Re: BUFFY: QUESTION ABOUT SLAYER It is possible that you only have to be a virgin to start w/ so it really wouldn't matter if she had sex during her term as the slayer. [Sai Wong (Exchange)] I would agree with Dan here. It is odd that the trailer "gives away" the shocker in the episode (we all know Joss does not like people being spoiled so why give it out in the trailer) so the person who dies may not be in the inner circle. If the person is in the inner circle, I can see that person being resurrected by the seasons finalie. It would be very difficult for Buffy and gang to accept Angel back into the group if be killed a close friend. The only way Angel might be accepted if he helped in resurrecting the dead slayerette. It also said that during the last two eps they would find a way to give a vamp back it's soul. Maybe that Spoiler really was true, and maybe they also find a way to return a vamp to it's human form so that Jenny can become human again? But instead of getting turned into a vamp during the first parter they changed it to "Passion" because of the Spolier leak. Consider this: if it was Angel who turned Jenny back into a human after they both get their souls back it would be much easier for the Slayerettes to forgive and forget. Would make for a cool ep! Of course you could explain it as most of the worlds vampires are drawn to Sunnydale via the Hellmouth. Yeah. But I find it hard to believe that ALL of them are in Sunnydale. If they are shouldn't Kendra be there too? I realize the shows budget doesn't provide for journeying around the world but they should at least address it.
