     <So I've heard.  Now they can turn off a whole other group with all 
     <the fighting and viciousness between them.  The first fight scene 
     <between Buffy and Angel was very brutal, and very hard to watch.  I'm 
     <getting more desensitized and actually laughed during the last one 
     <(KBD).  But I'm in the Buffy and Angel camp.  Too bad.  Sue me.
     
     I'm with ya!  I started watching the show because of David.  I know 
     you all will hate me for this but I have the opposite reaction when 
     Angel is getting beat up.  I want him to get up and start beating her 
     down.  I know thats wrong and I love the Buffy character and all but I 
     HATE seeing Angel get beat up.  I really liked the love story.  I do 
     like, now that he's evil, that he has alot more to play with character 
     wise.  But the writers could give him that being good too.  In short 
     they need to make him good again so I can stop wanting Buffy to get 
     beat up.

     I am actually *so relieved* to have someone say the halfway liked the 
     movie, 'cause I do, too!
     
     Remember, this is NOT about our conscientious, experienced Slayer that 
     we all know and love.  It is about a totally vapid Valley Girl 
     *finding out* that she is the Chosen One.  Sure it could have been 
     better . . . but I liked Merrick, and I liked the interaction between 
     him and Buffy, and I *really* liked how Buffy came to realize how 
     shallow her life and her old friends had been.  And Paul Reubens as 
     Lothos' right-hand vampire was *hilarious*!  And, I liked Pike's 
     scummy friend trying to pull Pike in, and Pike making the choice to 
     stay in the sunlight instead.
     
     So there.  Maybe I'll watch it tonight.

Perhaps that was the point. 

So many people seem to be so anti-romance that just maybe the idea was to
make you tired of all the smooching and soppiness so you'd be more willing
to accept the idea of a bad Angel.

Wouldn't it be more effective for Spike to put Angel's
head where the sun *does* shine?  Spikey Boy had pretty

Personally, I'd like to see both casts in a Kevin Williamson movie where they
combine slaying and teenage love problems. Or we could take James Van Der
Beek's suggestion on MTV live that they all get killed in the first scene of a
Kevin Williamson movie. Hey, hey! Idea! The whole Dawson's Creek cast is
killed except one (either Pacey or Joey) by vampires, and the rest of the
movie has them searching out and killing the vampires with the help of the
surviving DC cast member, etc. Cool?

I have to agree with some of you that i liked the movie too! I especially love
David Arquette, so i was rollin when he was a vamp and floating! I was just
thinking that mabye they could bring a Pike character onto the show. In the
movie Pike was ready with stakes to help Buffy fight. Granted Xander helps
Buffy, but he doesn't get at physical as Pike did. Also, a Pike character
would be someone else Buffy could date!

what is to come-- a demonic Angelus.  (I mean, how many other episodes had
that much kissing for any of the characters?)  Joss is a mastermind to plant
the seeds that he does!

Well to start off I just saw a funny commercial for ray-ban sunglasses.There
were a bunch of people sitting around on some stairs and they were wearing
sunglassses.A guy comes running over and sits down not wearing sunglasses.All
of a sudden the sun comes up and the guy turns to dust.One guy says too bad he
wasn't wearing these and holds up sunglasses.All the other people sitting
around him start laughing and you see that they are all vampires.I thought it
was pretty cool to share with you all.Another thing is on the cover of MAD
magazine it has all the women from Scream 2 including SMG and there is a comic
strip too.It's pretty funny.Thats about it.Later

According to the Domain of the Slain website, the next new episode will not
air until May 5 and the season finale will air on May 26.  The maintainer
of that site doesn't give a source for that info and also states that he
won't answer e-mail questions about upcoming episodes.  So does anyone else
know if this is official info?  It just seems strange because according to
Ultimate TV, May Sweeps run from April 23 until May 20.  This schedule
means that The WB would be airing a repeat of Buffy during the first week

I Only Have Eyes For You will be airing 5-5-98.  The season finale called
Becoming (Part 1) will be airing 5-19-98 & Part 2 of Becoming will be airing
5-26-98.  Hope this helps.  =)

I can understand your sentiment but I just wanted to point out that we
really haven't had the evil Angel all that long (I think all the repeats
make it seem longer than it is).  He's been bad in Innocence and the
following 4 episodes so think of it this way: when we're watching the show
on a daily basis in syndication next century, we've only got a week's worth
of evil Angel episodes so far.  Since this is such a major plot twist,
that's not a lot in the grand scheme of things.  Remember, it took 7
episodes before Buffy and Angel kissed and she found out he was a vampire
(well, 6 if you count the two-hour premiere as 1).  It was then another 18
episodes before they slept together.  Or consider Oz and Willow.  We first
saw Oz in Inca Mummy Girl; he and Willow didn't kiss for another 11
episodes.  My point is that for something as major as Angel turning bad,
it's not unreasonable for the writers to move slowly and try to milk as
much out of this as they can before they turn him good again.  Also, I
doubt if they'll get another shot at an evil Angel in the future because I
can't see many fans accepting him bouncing back and forth between good and
evil like a ping-pong ball.
