The main one that I am concerned about is the one about Giles and Joyce, specifically the possibility of them getting together. I dont know the origin of this rumor/ possible spoiler, but I have been hearing about it ever since KBD first aired. I think that this is the worst idea I have ever heard of. I mean, really, Ms. C only kicked the bucket, what, at the most a month ago? If Giles cared at all for her, wouldnt this be rushing into things a bit? The Ms C thing aside, I dont think that Giles would get involved with Joyce anyways, because it would cause such a problem with Buffy. So I pretty much feel that this rumor is pretty silly. I havnt heard anything else that I think is too far out there. I personally hope that Angel stays evil until next season- this is a rare opportunity that TPTB have with his character, I think they should take full advantage of it while they have the opportunity. I'm glad I'm not the only 20-something person who has qualms about flipping thru teeny-bopper mags. Just the other day, I was flipping thru a few and telling my 16-year-old sister to "cover for me," telling me when someone who looks to be my age is passing by. I'm not a "closet" fan; I'm proud to say I watch the show and it's the best one on TV. But things like that, I rely on my sister since it's okay for her to buy those mags without getting looks. However, we always have to make a compromise on who gets what pic. She won the totally AWESOME one of Nick in YM. I stick to the more "adult" type mags like People and Entertainment Weekly. They usually have better pics of people anyway. BTW, I loved the article in InStyle with Nick. His house is great and very creative. I also flipped thru some hairstyle mag and found the three ladies of the show mentioned. :) G :) ============================================================ XANDER:"There's a line I haven't tried: 'I just dropped by to see if you're dead.' It's a little unfair to compare the forgiveness of Willow to Xander to them forgiving Angel. Other than the fact that Angel actually did kill somebody (along with hundreds of others back in the day), Willow forgave Xander easily enough because she's known him almost all her life. Angel is still a mystery to everyone; there's just so much history to him that it'll take awhile to "get to know him," and you can't really forgive someone quite so easily if you've only known them a year, most of which his major secret was hidden. I'm sure Angel's and Buffy's love will get past that (God forbid), but you can't expect them to say "Oh, it's okay Angel. You've killed before so it's no biggie." When forgiveness is being considered for whatever hurts a person has caused, the amount of time you've known said person has little to do with it. The person that he or she is (the one you've known, trusted, and relied on) and the circumstances causing that person's behavior are more important. As for history, you are not going to know every single detail in someone else's life. Self-disclosure is a tricky thing and again is based on trust. They don't know need to know every detail in Angel's past. They need to consider what he has done and how he has treated them prior to the curse being lifted. Before I move on, Angel did disclose something very important about himself to Buffy, and that knowledge has given her the ability to defend herself against him--the Drusilla thing. Also, based on your defense, Willow shouldn't have been so understanding or forgiving of Oz. It's clear, she hasn't known him very long either, but she did forgive him. What's more she still wants to date him. IMO, the amount of time you've known someone isn't the thing to base your forgiveness on, the person's character, integrity, and the circumstances are.
