The big question is, will they be using the cast from the TV series? I can imagine money issues, etc., but it seems like it would be a hard sell to the fan-base to use anyone else. At least while the series is simultaneously going on. Since Willow only completed the curse while the something was taking her over, we might assume that she would not be able to successfully cast the spell without being taken over. So, they can't just go around cursing vampires with souls, rather than slaying them. First off, I looked at buffy.org and they're showing that the WB is showing 2 episodes per week starting in like a week and a few days. Is this right or I am dumb (or maybe both!). Second off, I will address this part to fanmail. I have written to Sarah once (actually i wrote about 5 letters, but only sent one), and i have written a few unsent letters to David. It really bothers me that it seems Sarah doesn't read her fanmail. This gives me a 'vibe' that she thinks shes too good to read mail from nobodys and it makes her look egotistical in my mind. Of course, there is always a (good) chance that I am overanalyzing this and she just doesn't read her mail because she doesn't have time, but it still makes me mad. From what I have heard on the MTV Live interview with David, he reads all his fanmail and even calls some people on the phone. This only makes me think higher of him, because who are the people that keep the show alive? The fans, that's who. David finds the time to read his mail and he is no superhuman (although i'm sure some females will disagree with that :) ) so i don't know why sarah can't find the time. ugh. now nick drifts to the topic of merchandise. does anyone know when the btvs videos or action figures or anything else are coming out to stores? does anyone have any info on this stuff (perticularly the videos like price, content, etc.)? I'm dying to get some buffy stuff. Ahh, i should end this email now. sleep is a good thing. throughout this email i was finding myself calling Sarah "buffy" although i didn't have the same prob with david. strange. it's cold in here, must be posessed by the devil. - -NiK panam@mail.execpc.com - - ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 6 Jun 1998 01:30:23 EDT From: Subject: Re: BUFFY: Angel in Hell >>and I don't think it would be too popular if the main character was trapped in >>hell... Celeb's closet that you'd like to raid: Sarah Michelle Gellar's She fights evil AND has style! Who you'd root for in a brawl: Buffy More than half of you would wear a big B on your cheerleading sweater in a fight between the Slayer, agent Scully, Xena and La Femme Nikita. My commentary: Umm, I had kinda hoped that there'd be more on the rest of the show and not just Sarah Michelle Gellar (whom I think is pretty cool anyway). Like, Favorite TV Couple for Buffy and Angel (or any of the other couples) would have been nice too. (That went to Dharma and Greg.) Subject: BUFFY: The Willow Keepers Site...who's gonna be keeper #500??? well, btvs fans, another season comes to an end...and what a season it was...i can't wait to see what joss and co. have in store for us next season...when you watched WttH and The Harvest did you ever imagine that the show would get past 30 eps??? hoped, yes, but imagined? it's so rare that unique, entertaining shows make it past season one (look what abc did to MSCL...pathetic)...but anyway, enough said, let's get to the subject at hand... The Willow Keepers Site... as things stand now, there are 490 keepers listed on the site...490! now that seems even more amazing than joss' 30 eps...you see, at the beginning of season two there were a mere 68 keepers for our little willow...but thanks to the enthusiasm of the fans, the growing popularity of the show, and some memorable moments from miss rosenberg, her keeper quantities have grown faster than i ever thought possible... so here's what i'm wondering...i still have a few requests in my inbox waiting to be answered, but not enough to push the willow keepers over the 500 mark...if you've been holding off staking your claim for willow, there's no time like the present...you could be #500!!! what are you waiting for??? maybe you're asking yourself, "what the heck is a keeper anyway?" well, it couldn't be simpler (even Xander could handle this one)...keepers are fans who show their support for the show by "keeping" items belonging to a show's characters...claims are made on everything from clothes to backpacks to childhood items (the barbie that xander stole), from traits, characteristics and actions like willow's adorableness or willow's ability to think the same thing that xander thinks, even quotes like "I am so the net girl" and the ever popular "and you, you're going to live forever and you don't have time for a cup of coffee?!?" anything that a character says, anything that truly belongs to that character is up for grabs... for those of you who haven't ventured into the keepership realm, there's no time like the present...especially for you willow fans...true, the season has ended for the summer, but if you look closely at the episodes being rerun, you're sure to find an item or two that hasn't been claimed...honest, just let your creative juices flow...check the keeper sites to see what's already been claimed, of course, but if you put some thought into it, chances are you're gonna see something that no one else has seen, in a way no one else has thought... if you're already a keeper, thanks so much for your support over the past season...i am simply awestruck by the growth of the willow keepers site over the past eight months...490 keepers is pretty impressive for willow considering she hasn't been getting a lot of airtime, at least not as much as the tried and true willow fans would like to see... i hope you'll join me in showing your support for willow and all the other btvs characters...i'm looking forward to all your wonderfully creative claims...
