"Cheryl Nuno kept the dog-eared index card for posterity. On it, Carlo= s Nuno Jr. charted his life goals 13 years ago.

"Some of the entries were predictable -- obtain a driver's license, attend college, etc. -- but No.2, just below his wish to take part in a Mormon mission, surprised the household.

"It said simply, "Professional football.""

Bobik on Mission to Become Better (New York Post)
See: http://www.nypost.com/sports= /29663.htm

"Daniel Bobik's story, "The Mormon Takes Manhattan," sounds like a com= edy but it is not. It is a fascinating journey of one young man's courage and desire to learn about a world that bears no resemblance to his cushy upbr= inging in Thousand Oaks, Calif.

"Bobik has spent the last two weeks in the Big Apple, learning the cit= y game at the West 4th Street cage and the Brooklyn YMCA and the Counselor'= s Camp at the ABCD camp. The 6-foot-5 shooting guard, who will play for BYU this season, stuck out like a white thread on a black suit."

"He's going to be a really, really, really good college player," said New York prep basketball guru Rodney Parker .

Reno "Junior" Mahe is excited for the season to start and says:

"If we don't win at least 10 games this year, something will be seriou= sly wrong. We're gonna be good, real good.

"I've never seen anything like this. Our workouts with conditioning coach Jay Omer are unbelievable. Have you seen how many guys we have out there? It's just awesome."
