    Gene,

I have been watching http://groups.yahoo.com/group/vectorvestonlineusersgroup/   I'll check out the other one.

I'll try to be more patient and set a 4 month goal to learn and take all this in.  I am a long time penny stock gambler so this is a whole new world for me.  After unbelievable Penny Stock gains during the late nineties raging bull, opportunities to buy at .25 a sell at 1.00 a week later are pretty hard to find.  So I am back in the more conservative, real world of stock market investing.

John, suggest you check out these VectorVest user groups for discussion of the software.

    http://groups.yahoo.com/group/vvestusergroup/ (more advanced non=moderated)

I recommend spending the next couple of weeks watching their video and understanding how to use the software, what its capable of sorting, etc. before trying to apply specifics.
BTW, you can subscribe on a monthly basis if you need more time.

DailyGraphs Online.... if you want accurate data... is there a substitute? I don't think much of their tools to massage their data though...

    Gene,

As a VV user, do you normally use the canned "strategies" or have you tweaked them a bit to spot some CANSLIM candidates.  It's my first day using the program and its a little overwhelming trying to learn everything at once.  Before my 5 weeks are up, I want to make sure this this program has serious value before I jump in at $545/yr.

I also may try a week trial of Daily Graphs Online to compare.  Have you had any experience with that package?  If not, their must be a few CANSLIMers in the group that use it.  Opinions anyone?

IRA, if you are looking for information on how to use the software and its good and bad points, there are at least 2 VectorVest Yahoo Groups available to discuss the software:

    http://groups.yahoo.com/group/vvestusergroup/  (~500 members, unofficial board)

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/vectorvestonlineusersgroup/?yguid=40387102 (~1300 members, monitored and controlled by VectorVest)

I use the software and I'm a member of both user groups.
    Gene

Sounds very interesting.  I'm not a big fan of stock software, but I'd love
to hear more about this package and how to use it.
