Every stock I am looking at blows past its pivot by 10%+ in one day. I am resisting the temptation of chasing at the moment but it is hard being 100% cash (Trading Account). I am just not finding any stocks at the moment at the right price. Despite the superior performance by the Russell 2000 this past week, it also did not create more "small cap" opportunities. Even with the small cap index being the only major index with a net gain for the year, it's not producing leadership. Most charts were very extended, curious and a little scary with the upcoming FOMC meeting and continued signs of inflation amidst stronger than desired growth and consumer spending. Latest weekly jobless claims declined, putting a halt to the possibility that the labor market was easing. Oil prices continue to rise, and gold prices continue to suggest inflation is coming (barring stiff and painful action by the Feds).
