Your list below looks interesting. The bases are shaping up nicely, and not that far off their highs, so some should prove to be strong if this market takes off in Sept (even if that's not historically likely, history is not controlling this market). In answer to your question "If you register at the site and subscribe to my list, these picks go directly to your email inbox with hotlinks directly to the graph on clearstation. I was wondering if would be appropriate to use the list master's email address so the picks could go directly to this list", I would object to this. Like many members, I cannot watch the market throughout the day, and thus do not benefit from intraday comments on breakouts and stuff. I am sure those members that could benefit can contact you directly if interested. For me, I already get sufficient email to read. I also have played the "fallen angels" angle in past years, tho now I try to stick closely to stocks that are CANSLIM. Even waiting until after they bottom, and show signs of breaking out, still means you have substantial overhead resistance from those that held, and just want to break even. Doesn't mean you can't make money speculating (much like buying in the bottom of a cup and handle formation, trusting that the right side of the cup will continue), just isn't CANSLIM. Good luck, and again welcome. I like your enthusiasm, especially for such a short period investing. I am an IBD subscriber and have read O'Neill's "24 Keys" books. I have been trading stocks for just the past six months, but have been very active. After a rocky April and July, August has been "bery bery good to me." I am in my late 30s and work nights as a lab tech. I actively watch the market during the day. If any of you use instant message conferencing or a chat room where you discuss the market on the fly, I would like to join. I use Yahoo messenger if anyone would like to exchange email addresses and interactively watch the market together. I have been looking for other individuals who sift through IBD quality stocks and look for bases *BEFORE* these stocks break out. It appears that some of you are doing this and I will contribute those I find as well. I post some of my favorite picks on clearstation.com under the handle "cmunny." If you register at the site and subscribe to my list, these picks go directly to your email inbox with hotlinks directly to the graph on clearstation. I was wondering if would be appropriate to use the list master's email address so the picks could go directly to this list. I also pick "fallen angel" type stocks - profitable companies which are unceremoniously dumped for up to 60-80% loss by mutual funds. I generally enter these stocks 6-8 weeks after the gap down when the 14 day Wilder Relative Strenth Index goes through the 30 line. Anyway, hear are some potential bases for IBD quality stocks in addition to those forwarded in Sunday's edition. I get mine from http://www.canslim.net and http://www.stocktables.com (link to cupnhandle.com from site). These are not necessarily at 52-week highs, but are basing. Buy (pivot) points are close but may not be exact: ORBK - buy point 100 RELL - buy point 16 TWTR - buy point 39 3/4 ( excellent 7 wk base and price surge Friday, but questionable volume). BTUI - buy at 13 ARW - 37 1/8 GENZ - 76.5 CSCO - 70 1/8 BELM - 23 OO - 17 3/4 DURA - 29 TKLC - 41 3/8 TLGD - 126 I noticed that many of the stocks in the Electrical Computer Semiconductor group (on clearstation.com) were setting up nicely, including LLTC LSCC MCHP SMTC and about 6 had broken out including TQNT and MXIM. I look for fallen angels on screens at stockcharts.com and at wallstreetcity.com (RSI increasing screens). Some recent finds which have popped pack were BRIO, PCLE, CPWR, RRRR, and ORCT. I am currently watching WORK, GGC, AMES, and some others I can't think of at the moment. Looking forward to pleasant and profitable relationship with you all! The directory forms part of a website called rationalexpectations.com, which I hope will provide a useful resource to members of the economics & finance community worldwide. [full web address is http://www.rationalexpectations.com] I would like to invite practicing academic and professional economists (and related fields) to submit details (as specified below) to the directory - there is no charge and there are no obligations. Once submitted, these details will be held in the directory where they are intended to be used for reference purposes by other economists & interested parties. I hope the resources on the site will be of interest, and any feedback would be very much appreciated. Also, if you could pass this message on to some of your colleagues that would be much appreciated.
