I find it to be sort of 'eerie' and 'off' from what is expected. It's one of those "it's not what you play, but what you don't play" scenarios that makes it good in a sort of John Bonham ala When The Levee Breaks type of way. Although, I find it a bit irritating that Lol reverses the rhythm just after the "bridge" section in the middle of the song. His 16th 'note' lands in the wrong spot of the melody after that. Ah, well, I guess that's Lol, huh? But, I do really like Boris' drumming on 100 Years from Paris better than the 'canned' drums from the album version. - --Chris - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Professor Vast" To: Sent: Sunday, August 26, 2001 10:57 PM Subject: Re: (descent) Bringing back some live > From: "Richard Skyba" > > >I'd have to say that the Figurehead on Paris was better than the version > >on>Pornography.
