I got sick of the stock tank on my '90 350s slopping around from those cheesy grommet mounts so I bought an OEM tank from a local salvage yard and welded nuts (with washers as spacers) onto the oil reservoir. It works real well. You also need to get the OEM dirt tank mounting bracket as well. FWIW, while I was there I got the dirt model carb off the same bike. Total cost for plastic tank and dirt carb: $170. Not too bad. :) - -Chris Bruno - - to unsubscribe to dr, send an email to "majordomo@xmission.com" with "unsubscribe dr" in the body of the message. I have had very good service from them with no problems, mine is still in service after 6 years and still going strong. However with the DR350SE model you would have to retrofit the manual compression release I am working on doing this and will post the results when I am done. The stock cam has the compression release built in and megacycle does not service this cam only the dirt model can be retrofitted with a non compression release cam because it is a kick start model and has the manual compression release. white bros has a compression release cam that is a stock cam that has been reworked. I prefer the megacycle cam myself.
