I have no idea how to rejet my carb or change the air screw...but wouldn't mind learning how to do this. Is this problem simply an airscrew adjustment? The bike is popping on deceleration rather than a smooth decel. Thanks Eric - - to unsubscribe to dr, send an email to "majordomo@xmission.com" with "unsubscribe dr" in the body of the message. You will have to also install a richer main jet. Or you could just put the plug back in. If you want more performance you will need to just cut the top out of the airbox and get a reasonable gain for the same amount of effort. Ether way you are going to have to remove the carb and do the jetting thing. Let me know If you need more detailed information. I have one on my KLR650. I have the complete system with the header pipe and can. It comes standard with the racing core. For an extra $89 you buy the spark arrestor/quiet core. While it will arrest sparks, it isn't 'much' quieter. Only changes the "brightness" of the tone somewhat. The system is well made, looks great, and will increase your power noticably. It will also piss off your neighborsif you live in a residential area as it is loud. Very loud. I'd like to know if the life of the chain will be much shorter ? I fell that after a driving over a big bump (or after jumps) the rear shock takes long time before extending back. (There is a big difference in the reaction time between the front and back of the bike). The compression adjuster on the shock is set at 0.5 to max, there is no rebound adjuster on my shock and I've set the preload almost to max. I weight 163 lb. What should I do ? You don't say which spring you have, but as I weigh 250, I have the 8.0 Kg. spring, set at almost zero preload. It stands to reason that if the front and rear are reacting differently, that they are set differently and too far apart. Just start playing with different settings until you start learning the differences at each setting. Start with rather large changes so you can feel them easier, then start refining the setting to your taste. And for what purpose would you want to remove the chain guard?? It's there for a reason, doesn't weigh that much, leave it alone. And sadly----as much as I love the sound of a aftermarket exhaust on a four stroke------you will be contributing to the demise of offroad riding. This not an opinion---a definite fact. Here is the way I look at--------------If you bike had 22 HP stock (just an example)----having 23 0r 24 isn't worth the disadvantages. Just Last year--------I had to change riding buddies------we were banded in the same weekend from a campground and a Motel we had ridden to because of one guys aftermarket exhaust on his WR400. They simply said "Don't come back"!!!!!!! I hate it------but it's the fact!!!
