This is good, except that it no longer puts links in bold type or highlights selections. This makes it *extremely* difficult to use. If there is anything that I need to change in my setup, please let me know. -- Dylan Winslow dylanw@xmission.com "Money doesn't talk -- it swears." -Bob Dylan ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: David Parker Subject: Re: problems with lynx Date: 03 Jan 1998 14:21:51 -0700 (MST) Hi, I'm the one who requested the new version of Lynx -- it supports cookies, which means it can now access sites that require cookies such as Microsoft Support or Intel Literature Distribution. I don't know how to turn the highlighting back on, but if you enter O for options you can set SHOW_CURSOR to ON which will let you at least navigate with the cursor. If you set KEYPAD_MODE on the options menu to LINKS_AND_FORM_FIELDS_ARE_NUMBERED then each field on the screen is numbered and you can access them just by typing the number. I'd never seen this feature before and I really like it; for me, it's easier than navigating with the up and down arrow keys. When I did, I got several old "ANNOUNCEMENT: ..." messages that hadn't shown up using elm. Once I had done that, they did show up in elm. About two weeks later (today), I repeated the same thing with the same results. Could I be missing any other mail using elm? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: "Doran L. You receive them when you use POP because they are sent as POP updates. They are the only messages delivered this way. So, in short, you have nothing to worry about. -Fozz -- Doran L.
