It is a 13 stripe flag with the spread eagle and the 13 stars over it's head in the corner. The Ulm Pishkun ,by the way, is an ancient Indian buffalo jump just north of Ulm Montana. Pishkun is Blackfoot for blood kettle. It is one of the finest buffalo jumps in the west. It's about two miles from my home to the Ulm Pishkun (as the crow flies), I've been to all the great jumps in this state and Head-Smashed-In in Alberta and the Ulm Jump is one of the best! Good hunting spot! The spirits are good there. bb http://www.greatfallstribune.com/news/stories/20040612/localnews/630138.html - ---------------------- hist_text list info: http://www.xmission.com/~drudy/mtman/maillist.html ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 17 Jun 2004 19:02:41 -0600 From: "Gary" Subject: MtMan-List: Re: Firearms, trap and tools Has anyone have anything to say about "Firearms, Traps and Tools of the Mountain Men" by Carl. P. Russell. Is it a good source book. I just started research into mountainmen. I have some good sources for the Rev War.. - ---------------------- hist_text list info: http://www.xmission.com/~drudy/mtman/maillist.html ------------------------------ End of hist_text-digest V1 #1369 ******************************** - To unsubscribe to hist_text-digest, send an email to "majordomo@xmission.com" with "unsubscribe hist_text-digest" in the body of the message.
