This means the concert will be restricted to only 20,000 people, paying $400 a ticket. I have had no confirmation from Emeco and other POS outlets for the tickets that this is the case, but talking to other people 'in the know' this now seems to be the case. 2) With the figure now only 20,000 (first it was thought of millions, then 250,000, followed by 50,000 and now just 20,000!) it also seems unsure where the 'tents' will be placed. There has been conflicting news that they will be close to be the stage and there has been suggestions the tents could be as far as 1KM away from stage! It is all a little bit in the air at the moment. 3) In response to Dan's email on here (I think it was Dan) about attending the concert for free, well this is like Russian Roulette... I understand there are many smaller events at the pyramids, but nothing like Twelve Dreams. I think it is a big risk to travel without a ticket, you may end up seeing a flashing dot for 12 hours (if you like the sound of the idea, then go for it!) 4) The more encouraging news is that it seems the concert is still going ahead! Yet another news conference will be held in Cairo on Wednesday 30th September (almost one year to the day when the project was first announced) - it seems that Jarre will be present. It may take a few days for news to filter through, so please note that facts may not become visible for sometime after the conference. As soon as I hear anything, I will pass it on. I thought I would put people in the picture now as soon as I have found out the above. An update to the Website is imminent and I hope this will be completed within the next seven days. Finally, sorry to all those people who have sent me personal email in the past few weeks and have not received a reply yet (no, I am not ignoring you...) Things have been a little fraut since Leuven in quite a few ways and rest assured you will get a reply sometime within the next week (with luck!) Finally finally, it was a pleasure to meet so many of you in Leuven two weeks ago, there are too many people to list here - but all of you know who you are. - -- ____________________________________________________________________ Revolution - UK Jean Michel Jarre Fanclub Dave Freeman mailto:davefr@globalnet.co.uk http://www.netlink.co.uk/users/revmag/ ____________________________________________________________________ # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info jarre" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email jarre@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 14 Oct 1999 00:56:51 +0200 From: "Peter Korsten" Subject: (jarre) www.mp3.com/fin/ Hi folks, My first message in years to this forum...
