To which it should be added - in the first article about the money burning, by Jim Reid in the Observer, he said that they had destroyed the video tapes of the burning so that everyone would have to take it on faith that they did burn the money. When no one believed the story and/or it was ignored they had to release the film. So it hadn't been destroyed! Does this suggest to you that they archived everything or what? > Jai: > a) its very very hard for people to completely destroy something they've > created. remove it from public view, yes, but to actually throw that stuff > away would be hard, but > b) bill and jimmy are the kind of nutters that would do anything on the > spur of the moment if they felt it was a good enough idea. Select article 92 - very likely that these people copied the tapes for other people to hear - they copied them for others to hear...etc can some one direct me in the direction of fnord? by private email of course. - -- Stuart Young and Michelle Ardern, say.map@ihug.co.nz 66a Sackville Street, Tel: +64 (0)9 376 8100 Grey Lynn, Auckland, NZ Stuey's groovy new website is now open: http://easyweb.easynet.co.uk/~stuey/ # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info klf" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email klf@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # KLF discography: http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?klf ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 16 Feb 1999 16:16:28 +0100 From: "Torsten Pattberg" Subject: Re: (klf)KLF get arrested >>Did anybody else read the piece in NME saying that B&J got arrested for > >cool, did it say when this was???? > An old BRAVO (german teenie mag) wrote, that they were arrested in Liverpool because of doing some graphity during the day ;) Bill said: "We better made it during the night". The title of the article is "subversiv" and tells about the re-release of The Manual and the whole history of The KLF until today. There are also a lot of pictures in this article which I have never seen before, maybe I will scan the whole thing if anybody out there is interested. regards, Michael - -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ >> ***K THE MILLENNIUM - WE WANT IT NOW << http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Lofts/1353/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info klf" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email klf@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # KLF discography: http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?klf ------------------------------ End of klf-digest V2 #184 *************************
