Buy it... . b) One of the things I most like about Bill & Jimmy's work is that they very rarely seem(ed) to do anything twice. And while I only met Bill once, they don't strike me as the kind of people who would walk around with copies of their own records in their pockets. c) I think I need my sense of humour realigning. I know! its Reclaim the Streets, and N30 refers to November 30 being an international day of action against the World Trade Organisation to co-incide with the meeting in Seattle, which hopefully wont even take place due to thousands of demonstrators blocking the streets and doorways. Indeed there is also a virtual "sit-in" WWW protest which will attempt to overload the WTO meetings web server and block the on-line meetings. details on how you can participate (its easy, you just connect to a website and leave your browser/connection running and they do the rest using Javascript) at: http://www.gn.apc.org/pmhp/ehippies/action/index.htm Onto Jai's original question, AFAIK Jimi took his Saracen's and massive sound system to the 97 Reclaim the Streets in Islington, I don't know if he's been to any others. I don't know if he plans to go to RTS-N30. No-one even knows where, or when, or what will happen in London today since they are trying to keep it a secret from the police. Stuart. Was on this list about four years ago but got bored. Anyway I saw the video for solid gold... about a fortnight ago when a plugger brought it in for us to see - he's Jo Whiley's partner so I'm surprised shes not playing it more. It is very KLFish and yes there's two large mobile phone people running through london a la Justified... and scenes of the man talking on the track trying to have his conversastion on a busy train as he walks through. Don't know if this is news or not 'cos I'm not on the list but hey... thought it might be helpful. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info klf" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email klf@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # KLF discography: http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?klf ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 30 Nov 1999 18:10:02 -0000 From: "Phil Blake" Subject: RE: (klf) 121 According to HMV, the release date has been put back a week! There's a few I'd buy for over a hundred if he did... Because I'm in York (same city as listed on Ebay), I've just now e-mailled this bloke to ask him whether I can actually _see_ the collection before it disappears... does that qualify me as one of the saddest people on this list? :-) I've also suggested the idea of me buying it from him 'on behalf' of various people; I could collect money from some of the people willing to pay fifty/a hundred pounds for particular items, buy the whole set from him, and then divide it into the component parts that different people have paid for. If the seller isn't interested in this idea then we're scuppered, but if he is, I might start an "unofficial" one-week auction via this list, where people offer their highest bids on particular items. I'll let people know. Obviously in the meantime someone might bid for the whole set and the idea is over, but never mind. These things come and go...
