Best would be for more than only one country. This isn't an answer to the question... but it might be worth joining the discussion group http://www.egroups.com/group/chartfreaksworldwide/ and asking there. I've asked there and got quick answers whenever I've got a specific question (eg. what was number one on January 7th 1981... 'cos that's when my girlfriend was born- that kind of thing), but I don't know if they'll know where to find whole lists. I believe that a lot of the chart listings for different countries are actually still copyrighted, so it's possible to buy books with them in, but not necessarily possible (or legal, at any rate) to publish them on the Internet, etc. Certainly, dotmusic (www.dotmusic.com) have to pay some sort of rights to the chart compiling company in order to print the latest charts- which is odd, considering all it is is a list of numbers and names thought up by other people... Hmm not really, well not yet at least! :P Read the interview with Alex Paterson on "dotmusic", here is a link => http://www.dotmusic.com/dance/interviews/December2000/interviews17017.asp Here is the small part about Jimmy. *As Paterson says, this is the end of the twelve year cycle that saw the Orb bloom into life in 1988 and Cydonia brings The Orb back full circle. So could this mean that Jimmy Cauty, who left the band to concentrate on KLF in 1990, will return to work with Paterson? "He might possibly," says Alex. "I'd give it a 70/ 30% with me, but there's always that 30% with Jimmy."* # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info klf" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email klf@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # KLF discography: http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?klf ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 08 Jan 2001 08:22:31 +0000 From: "dave.bunn" Subject: (klf) Re:Chill Out People > > Wonder where Mr Vance is now? > > > >I thought he lived on VH1 these days? he is also doing the voice-over for a readers digest advert in the UK at the moment. # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info klf" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email klf@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # KLF discography: http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?klf ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 08 Jan 2001 08:44:07 +0000 From: "dave.bunn" Subject: (klf) Latest news on the auction Hello all, The latest bidding is as follows; 12 Inches: Burn the Bastards KLF002T Downtown JAMS27T 3AM Eternal (live at the S.S.L) KLF005X (pic sleeve) Whitney Joins the J.A.M.M.s 1987 J.A.M.M.S 45 Edits JAMS25T (pic sleeve) £5 Gary Glitter Joins the J.A.M.M.s KLF003R 3AM Eternal KLF005R (pic sleeve) 3AM Eternal (Moody Boys) KLF005Y (pic sleeve) Kylie said to Jason KLF010P (pic sleeve, + poster IF I can find it) Disco 2000 12 inches One Love Nation D2002 I Gotta CD/I (heart) Disco LP's Shag Times JAMS DLP3 (double LP Gatefold sleeve) What Time is Love JAMS LP4 £20 (2 bids) Chill Out JAMS LP5 The White Room JAMS LP6 Vaguely Related (well it has been mentioned on the list at least once) Moody Boys Introducing Screamer, "What is dub" 12 inch Single (pic sleeve) Everything as a job lot £150 The auction is open until the end of January, The 'everything' bit was added as I have received a bid on it all, plus an enquiry about selling it all in one go, I (being a mercenary type) will take the option that raises me the most cash (i.e. if the individual bids total greater than job lot bids then they get sold separately blah blah) I haven't found the poster for the Kylie single yet (I had a very busy weekend, but I have got today off work so I will have a good hunt around) Also, I am selling off my entire record collection, featuring loads of: Art of Noise, Mantronix, Front 242, New Order, Yello, Hawkwind, Gong, Steve Hillage, The Residents, Zodiac Mindwarp & the Love Reaction, amongst many others, mail me for a list if interested. (A list doesn't yet exist, but will do so soon!) It is quite an extensive collection as I used to be a DJ/Promoter in London about 10 years ago when I was at University. (once I have catalogued everything, the choice picks will be going on E-Bay, but I am giving you lot the first crack at it, The KLF isn't going to E-Bay, as I would much prefer it to go to a good loving home and not someone that is just after a resale profit!) Does anyone knowingly and willingly pay that much for a CD-R nowadays?!
