It connects with CDDB, so you can get much of your information entered without having to do it yourself. http://www.spinfree.com/store/ hi all, i need to get a proper list of my cd's together - mainly for insurence but also to stop me buying duplicates cos i cant remember which particular version of a cd i already have. has anyone got any programs they'd recommend? i intend to use it only with cd's or cd singles. if it did vinyl/mp3s that's nice but i dont really care. if the house burns down tomorrow i want a list of the cd's. # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info klf" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email klf@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # KLF discography: http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?klf ------------------------------ Date: 3 Jul 2001 09:22:57 +0100 From: neil sampson Subject: (klf) love trance... hi everyone, just a quick message to let you know that my copy of the cd-r popped through the post this morning. had the chance to give it a quick listen. right, love trance...sounds very japanese style - every now & again a woman saying 'the klf have left the building' (in a very polite sorta way). the strings and general feel of the music sounds oriental to me anyways. the other track (b-side i guess) is unlisted, but it is the monster attack mix of WTIL - basically a beefed up version of the pure trance original with the occasional godzilla sounding monster noises over the top every now and again. now i know the monster attack mix is owned on vinyl by at least one other listmember (because it was included on one of the bootleg comps and also I think i met the chap in question at the pre-barbican (2K) drinks ages ago). so there you go, a quick summise of what all the fuss was about. for me personally, i've got to listen to it a few more times to work out whether i like it or not. it's bizarre. after searching (along with the rest of the list) for those elusive tracks that are near mythical in their rarity (if they were ever produced at all)...when they finally arrive, the search is over and (personally) the final product is never quite as good as you hoped, not quite as exciting as the chase leading up to it...that is with the exception of the white room movie (which i still love chilling out to). don't know what everyone else feels about this, i reckon we should all give up searching for 'deep sh*t' and other such stuff, as they'll never live up to the legends when they do finally arrive. cheerio neil MonkeyMania in FullFX http://www.themonkeymen.co.uk ___________________________________________ It's amazing what happens when you breathe. www.breathe.com # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info klf" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email klf@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # KLF discography: http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?klf ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 1 Jul 2001 11:18:03 +0200 From: "Dan Kuta" Subject: (klf) Crapola Hi, did anyone hear any news from Crapola recently? I notice the postcode of that place is somewhere close to where you used to write to for more info about The KLF. (in case you don't know there address was KLF Communications, PO Box 283, HP21 7TP, The UK (probably the nearest post office to Mitchell Leys Farm?)), the only thing that's strange is The KLF always wrote "The UK" at the end of there address not "UK" why drop "The"? I had a look at the site, you can browse all different requests people have made for their deaths. There alphabetised by surname, I looked for Drummond, Bill or Drummond, William but couldn't see it and Caughty. I did find two entries under K for KLF, KLF, Madmax (which says Madmax KLF is prepared to die) and KLF, The (which says the KLF is prepared to die). The Madmax KLF has a date by the side of it of 2000-10-30 (October, 30th 2000?) and The KLF has a date by it of 1986-02-23 (23rd February 1986 - could this be the date B&J got the idea for The KLF?) . # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info klf" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email klf@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # KLF discography: http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?klf ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 5 Jul 2001 16:21:31 +0100 From: Nigel_Armstrong@tertio.com Subject: Re: (klf) KLF on UKD Darren wrote: >Kalevala - wasn't that something KLF related? It was Bill and Gimpo's project which masqueraded as a Finnish record label. A set of 7" singles was released by various non-existent artists including a group called The Fuckers. So, not strictly KLF-related as Jimmy had nothing to do with it.
