Hello everyone once more. After getting home on friday, i found my lovely girlfriend had managed to take half a day off work and travel down to see me - excellent. while we were sat at my place chatting and drinking, we had the freshly delivered 'remodelled & remixed' cd playing...still thoroughly recommended... after a while, one thing led to another (wont go into too much detail here, but it had been 2 weeks since I'd last seen her - so much pent-up rudeness)...anyways, as we're getting deep down & dirty, the last track finished....and all was silent except for us... and then out of nowhere...bill drummond barked very loudly over my speakers : "f*ck that pop sh*t, we want deep sh*t..." - needless to say, it sort of ruined the flow of matters ! the girlfriend was wondering who was shouting at us, i was cracking up in fits of laughter and the whole scene looked like something from a 'carry on' movie ! public health warning : don't make love when listening to music ! # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info klf" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email klf@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # KLF discography: http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?klf ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 3 Dec 2001 22:50:15 +1100 From: "Brendan" Subject: (klf) OT: Mixmag magazine Hi All, on Saturday, 20 October 2001 (ages ago) Stuart wrote.... > Personally I prefer Mixmag (a different monthly UK dance mag), which > incidentally this month has, on their "Lost Anthems" cover CD, the > Williams Fairey Brass Band version of "Voodoo Ray". this issue has just arrived in the newsagents near work. what did you think of the cd? i thought i knew some of the tracks but others are a mystery. i saw what looked like an airfreight copy in hmv with the top 100 songs as voted by readers. has anyone read it? i dont normally buy mixmag but i'm tempted to see how many i've got. cheers brendan # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info klf" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email klf@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # KLF discography: http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?klf ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 3 Dec 2001 22:50:33 +1100 From: "Brendan" Subject: (klf) OT: so which is it ? They were doing 1991, I thought hmmm... I wonder if there'll be any KLF in here (KLF disbanded in 1992 so it's about the right era). And suprise suprise, just as I thought about the fact there might be The KLF, the presenter said "We'll be hearing from...and The KLF a little later on". So I got the VCR ready and waited to tape it. In the second part he played The KLF & Tammy Wynette - Justified & Ancient (mentioning that this got to No. 2 (I thought this got to No. 1?) and that earlier in the year they had done 3AM Eternal and got to No. 1 with it). The only bad thing was they destroyed the video by running information about world events that happened in 1991 along the bottom of the video so bits out of The White Room on the video are cut off and can only be seen sometimes, and they didn't even play the full video :(. (other bands featured included Enigma - Sadness, Nirvana - Smell's Like Teen Spirit, Simply Red - Stars, EMF - Unbelievable) # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info klf" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email klf@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # KLF discography: http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?klf ------------------------------ End of klf-digest V2 #501 *************************
