Mailman is more friendly to the casual user thanks to its web-based user interface. The new admin UI will make my admin job easier which should improve the level of service you get as subscribers as well as let me spend more time participating again. You'll also have access to a friendlier archive system and some new subscription options: digest mode is now an "on/off" toggle rather than a separate subscription list, and you can disable your email temporarily without needing to completely unsubscribe. Everything else should work just the same. In order to receive the new version of the list, please go to http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/klf and follow the subscription instructions there -- you'll need to confirm your subscription request via email and there will be a new posting address at mailman.xmission.com. I will disable the old version of the list later this month. Feel free to post or email if you have any questions or concerns. My copies of "Shag Times", "Chill Out", "Give Peace a Dance", and "Monty Python - The Final Rip-off" all have varying degrees of the problem. Thanks, Michael PS: Sorry if this arrives twice, but am I right in thinking that if you're not subscribed to the new list yet, then mail sent to the new address is not being forwarded? # Need help using (or leaving) this mailing list? # Send the command "info klf" to majordomo@lists.xmission.com. # To post, email klf@lists.xmission.com; replies go to original sender. # KLF discography: http://www.swcp.com/lazlo-bin/discogs?klf ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 3 Jan 2002 14:46:46 +0100 From: "Ulrik Brandt" Subject: (klf) RE: Tattooed Beat Messiah (ot - sort of) First of all: This is NOT "off Topic" The Tattoed Beat Messiah Album was produced by Bill Drummond and David Balfe (the chameleons). It's a very primitive rockalbum, with VERY stupid, but well written lyrics (stupid=funny). If you ever get the chance to buy this album: DO IT. By the way: What kind of info do you want, tracklit, linernotes, artwork????? "On New Years Eve 89/90, he managed to get The KLF to play an amazing 15 minutes version of 'what time is love?' Hello everyone, Happy New Year ! Just a quick email, I couldn't quite remember what the overall consensus was surrounding the Love Trance 12" which cropped up last year...I had a sneaky feeling that there were more than one of these 12"s knocking about - based purely on the number of recent bootlegs which have appeared recently (chill out, 1987, the 'live' album and Pure Trance 5)... does this mean we can eventually expect to see the missing Pure Trance 12"s surface ? I know no-one will have the answer to that question, but if anyone could just remind me what the score with Love Trance (Pure Trance 6) it would be much appreciated !
