For many reasons I did not get a recording of the SF and Phoenix shows from this tour as I had hoped to BUT i DO plan on recording at the Coachella Festival in October. That is going to be the biggest, best festival I've ever been to- so many incredible artists all in one place. If anyone else is planning on going please email me off list and maybe we can hang out at the gig. I have a few live shows for trading with other fans, but I need to upgrade my soundcard so I can get them off DAT to CDR or mp3 without having to have someone else do it. anyway- I really have enjoyed wearing my moby hat which i wear almost everyday since i bought it at the Phoenix show. Also- ARP is my latest favorite song and if you think part of it sounds farmiliar then that's because some of it came from a demo song I've heard called "Every One Of My Problems" talk to you all again soon i hope... i've been so busy lately- sorry paul ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 14 Sep 1999 17:51:04 EDT From: Beacwork@aol.com Subject: (mobility) Sept 14th Ft Myers concert cancelled What a bummer. And of course that got me thinking about the whole selling out conversation. Question for those of you who went to see him on this tour. He played Bodyrock at what, all of the shows? Now my experience may have been different than everyone elses, and if so, please let me know...but at the Austin show, it was damn obvious from the first note of Bodyrock, that he really freaking loved the song, and was having a damn fun time playing it. That, for me, completely resolves that issue. Soda anyone? What I meant was the fact that Moby plays those songs to relax and kick back, have a little fun from the mostly negative point of view of the world. Most of his songs are extremely beautiful because of their deep sensitivity, but when Bodyrock comes on it's like Hold It there is a Beautiful Feeling Still left In this Fucking Hole we call Earth. Those songs are there not because he wants them there to pay the bills but because they still mean alot to him. You would be pretty much a loser if you thought everything held a sad vibe, surely? That is why all the chart toppers are all hippy eccentric lovey dovey songs. People like getting highs while they plod away at work. I like a good happy tune everyonce in a while and Moby provides it. That is why he is a legend. But we all have to admit that there is no one here that fell in love with him solely for songs like Bodyrock? If so no offence but Have you No Heart? I guess it's my problem. If we are going to nominate good albums, Don't get your Knickers in a twist if I say Creed's New Album Human Clay is going to Crank, but hold your breath for Smashing Pumpkins' new one with Jimmy back from the dead. Plus Tool must be Due are'nt they.
