Yeah, that's pretty much how all the RE games are. I think they should give you more ammo and put more enemies in there. Even though I do love the game, I hate the limited inventory and the low ammo supply. Both seem like cheap ways to make the game harder. Yeah, that's pretty much how all the RE games are.  I think they should give
you more ammo and put more enemies in there.   Even though I do love the
game, I hate the limited inventory and the low ammo supply.  Both seem like
cheap ways to make the game harder.  I mean seriously....these guys

hundreds rounds of ammo with them?  And shouldn't they be able to pack
around a lot of gear?

When you run out of ammo, all you have is the knife and a few spray cans, zero ink ribbons left and you still can't figure out where to use the V-Jolt. ;-) Don't feel bad though, it's happened to most of us. I had to start from scratch in Resident Evil 2 my first time through as Leon, because I couldn't find the Magnum and was in a similar situation to the one I described. Same with Code: Veronica, I was out of every kind of ammo by the time I reached the second disc. I didn't have a problem with Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, nor did I have the same problem with RE: Director's Cut, but with the original RE (PSX), the one Matt has, I started over like four times. The thing is, the original Resident Evil (PSX) is a crapload harder than any other RE game. RE:DC (PSX) is far easier than the first, same goes with RE on the Saturn. ===== ** Dave ** "I hate this. I think you're confused about what things are named, so I run through the terminology first, with Nintendo related products, although it applies to all, really, okay? 1. Coax (Coaxial Cable) is the RF Switch Box, like was used with the NES, and came with the SNES. You can also buy adapters to use the coax with the N64 and Gamecube. This type is usually called an RF Adapter or RF Switch (the switch term comes from the Atari 2600 days, modern consoles don't use a manual switch, it's all electronic now) 2. A/V Jacks (or plugs or cables) also called RCA Cables (I don't know why, but I have a hunch) and are also called 'Composite'. These are the standard cables that come with an N64 or Gamecube. Yellow for Video, White for Stereo Left, and Red for Stereo Right. 3. S-Video Jacks (or plugs or cables). These are sold seperately from the console, usually by InterAct, Mad Catz, or Monster. They have three plugs, White for Stereo Left, Red for Stereo Right, and Yellow for S-Video. They look almost the same as the A/V Jacks but there is more than one male pin coming out of the Yellow Plug. That's because the video signal is split into two seperate signals, (Stryder could explain it better) 4. Component Video Jacks. These monsters have five plugs on it, White for Stereo Left, Red for Stereo Right, and the remaining three are for Video, and since I'm not an expert on Component Video, I don't know the colors, but the cables are also know as RGB cables, or at least that's what I've heard. Many people get "Component" and "Composite" mixed up, it's easy to do, so I try to say "A/V Jacks" most of the time unless I'm trying to impress somebody. ;-) Okay, got that? Now an RF Adapter connection is the most basic, you get a picture and sound that seems like a bad Air TV signal, or like really bad cable TV. Next up is the A/V Jacks, better than RF by far, since audio & video are running on seperate lines, but things still aren't as sharp as you may want it, and the bigger TV you have the worse it starts to look. Now next up is S-Video. That's where most people stop. S-Video compared to A/V Jacks is unbelieveable, the picture quality is super sharp. No color bleeding and no sign of "ghosts" or anything like that; needless to say, to answer your question, the jump from A/V Jacks to S-Video is very noticeable and it's really hard to go back to using A/V Jacks after witnessing S-Video. (A good frind of mine has a great TV with S-Video and Component and he has the PS2 on S-Video and his Progressive Scan DVD Player on Component, and after visting him it's hard to go back to my TV with the A/V Jacks and play GTA3 or watch The Matrix on my lame video output) The last step is Component Video. Now Component Video is better than S-Video, but the difference isn't as big as a leap as there was from A/V Jacks to S-Video. It has been reccomended to me that if I were to get a TV with Component Video, to use it for something like a Progressive Scan DVD Player, since videogames look dandy as candy on S-Video. One drawback to S-Video and Component Video is older game consoles. Like if you have a PS2 hooked up with S-Video or Component Video and go to play an old PSX game, prepare yourself for some truly ugly graphics, I found that out with Need For Speed: High Stakes on my friend's system. PlayStation, Saturn, N64, and just about anything lo-res (yes, all those fighting games on the Dreamcast and PS2 from Capcom & SNK) looks not all that great on better video hookups, and actually probably looks better in the washed out A/V Jacks video. But then again, it's something one can get used to it seems, since lo-res 2-D fighters aren't as popular as they used to be. Hope that helps. Now for some washed out Crazy Taxi on my 19 inch TV with A/V Jacks. ;-) One more thing, if you have multiple consoles, and have to use a switch box for your video signals, one thing to remember, the weakest link in your setup determins how the video will look. So say you have a PS2, Gamecube, and XBOX hooked up tp the S-Video Switch Box (ASCII makes a good one) with Monster (brand) Cables but your output to your TV is a generic "Performance" brand S-Video cable, you won't get the picture quality of those expensive Monster Cables. ===== ** Dave ** "I hate this.
