For GameCube?

1. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
2. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Master Quest
3. Resident Evil 4
4. Resident Evil - Code: Veronica (if it is a GameCube port of 'Bio Hazard -
Code: Veronica Complete'. If it's a port of the PS2's RECVX or the DC's
RECV, then I'd pass)
5. (not a Must-Have for me, but still worth mentioning) Skies of Arcadia:
Legends
6. Resident Evil 2 (if you don't already have a Dreamcast, Nintendo 64,
PlayStation, PS One, or PlayStation 2 and never plan to get any of those
systems and is willing to pay $40 for a port of a 4 year old PSX game) - why
Capcom isn't using the Dreamcast version for the port? The Dreamcast version
is still the best and since Dreamcast games port to GameCube so easily, it
just makes me wonder.
7. Ikaruga (if it ever finds a domestic, North America, publisher), although
if that "Freeloader" disc actually works, I may just import Ikaruga.

Here's a funny story...I recently bought the extended version of LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring which included 4 discs. The first disc played fine on my $300 Toshiba DVD player, but it would not read the 2nd disc for anything. So I dragged out my trusty PS2, hooked it up, and bam! Although a noticeable lower quality picture, at least I got to watch it! Now why would the PS2 be able to play the 2nd disc but not the Toshiba? Basically, a fixed hardware to meet an increasingly sophisticated slate of new DVD releases. I think future DVDs should have some sort of flash ROM inside the innards to allow manufactuers to release occasional driver updates that can be downloaded through the net (unlikely, considering people aren't really ready to start hooking up home appliances to the internet) or distribute these updates at electronics stores, with the delivery system beign a special CD-ROm that installs the drivers onto the chip. Although... this could lead to hacking, or malicious programs on fake CDs aimed at destroying the drivers in someone's existing set. But I think betty encryption and security measures behind the scenes can alleviate these problems. As a general rule, your high end DVD is going to have less of that. I've heard nothing but bad things about the PS2 DVD, and I don't really use mine to watch DVDs, unless if I have to. My friend's PS2 DVD doesn't agree with his TV or some component of his entertainment unit, because the last time I was over at his place, we watched WE WERE SOLDIERS and all sorts of wierd looking lines started to show up on screen, and apparently, it wasn't the first time that happened as my friend war rather peeved that his 'PS2' was acting up again.
