I just rented it on Wednesday, and I still have it till Monday. The graphics are very good; better than WCW Mayhem but not quite as well as WWF Attitude. The videos that are shown on the Titantron are pretty sweet too =). Some of the faces look really (emphasis added) nasty and ugly looking though. Sometimes, you'll see a wrestler's arm going through the other wrestler's body, but thats a minor drawback and you really won't care to notice unless you're one of those goofballs that look for every single error in a game. The music and the video are actually real to the characters, unlike that of WCW Revenge. They all taunt the same way as their real-life counterparts and some of it is really funny! (Billy Gunn pulls down his pants and moons you; there is a blur while he's performing this hanus act) The controls are just the same as WCW Revenge (which is good) with some added features like jumping from the second rope or putting an opponent in the tree of woe. There is a good variety of matches you can play in WM 2000. You can pick exhibition and select from 1 on 1, Tag Team, 3 Way Match, and Cage Match. The cage match, IMO, is the best one of its kind on any console at the moment. It is extemely hard to get out of the cage. I just wish that there was a door that you could get out of like the ones on television. There is also King of the Ring, where you battle in a tournement to be the winner, and also Royal Rumble where you can have from 4-30 contestants (only 4 at the same time) and battle it out to the end. My favorite is the Road to Wrestlemania, where you can select a character and work your way to the WWF Championship. Real life things can happen also. (For Ex: My tag team partner is the Rock, and we split up. I won the WWF Championship, then Vince Mcmahon took it away for Wrestlemania.) You'll fight 4 matches per month and fight at least 40 and as much as..well, who knows! There are also a few extras that are pretty good too. You have 14 slots in which you can create your own character and you can also take that character and put it to the Road to Wrestlemania. There are by my knowledge, 7 hidden characters: HBK, Jim Ross, Jerry the King Lawler, Stefanie McMahon, Paul Bearer, Dude Love, and Cactus Jack. All 7 are accessed by doing a specific thing in the Road to Wrestlemania (For Ex: To get HBK, you MUST win the Royal Rumble and win the WWF championship. He will challenge you, and then he will be accessed as a playable character). You can also name the belts that you win and you can also access Stone Cold's skull belt. Overall this game is a very good game and a great party game to play with your friends. There are alot of options which greatly helps the replay value for extended playing. If you are really into these types of games, it is a must buy, for it is the only good wrestling game out right now, and the first good WWF game to come out for the 64. ~Cy In a message dated 12/18/99 6:39:12 PM US Mountain Standard Time, coolguymike93@yahoo.com writes: > I comand you to buy..... I go with a TNT2 Ultra or a GeForce256 chipset (GeForce is better and one with Double Data Rate RAM is best). I just got a Hercules 3D Prophet DDR-DVI and it is pretty cool...except I'm still working some kinks out of it :( Quake 3 locks-up if I use 'lightmap' lighting...but not if I use 'vertex' lighting. I'm thinking it is a driver issue, but not sure yet. Oh well, I'll eventually get it fixed. Dave's new PC ... last question. Okay, so I got the new computer up and running, I didn't know what was a good video card to get so I got a name I knew. It's a 3DFX Voodoo 3 2000 PCI 16MB.. is that good? The computer is an AMD K6 475 MHz with 10 gig HD and 64 Megs of RAM. Two CD-ROMs, One regular and one CD-R. And I also picked up Half Life. So now I have come to the conclusion that HL is impossible with the keyboard, so my question is, what's a really good joystick/gamepad? That's it. Voodoo is great, beats the hell out of the generic rip-off i have Half-life, good game, the Game pad i use is the MicroSoft Sidewinder, but it really depends on how many buttons you need. Does anyone know a way to put Console controllers to the PC, i don't know if they sell adaptors, or if i gotta jack-rig one up Peace Out C\TSgt Pete Frye [ To quit the n64 mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe n64" ] [ (without the quotes) to majordomo@xmission.com ] ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 20 Dec 1999 09:20:56 -0600 From: John Goelzer Subject: RE: [N64] Off Topic.. If you play Quake III at all, though, you'll be wishing you had a GeForce DDR board in short order... > So now I have come to the conclusion that HL is > impossible with the > keyboard, so my question is, what's a really good > joystick/gamepad? My advice is to forget your console ways and get used to the mouse/keyboard combo for first-person shooters. Otherwise you'll get gibbed mercilessly in deathmatch. You just can't circle-strafe as quickly/effectively with a joystick or gamepad.
