I'm writing this just to let you guys know that I'm leaving the list, after, I dunno, something like 2-3 years of membership? Why? Well, I don't really know. When I first s*bscribed to the n64 list, I hardly posted at all. Eventually I started responding to threads, and there was a period when I would reply to basically every message posted. I guess that was sometime last year. But since then, some of you who have been on the list for a while may have noticed my post output has been dropping off. I don't really know how to explain it, other than I just don't feel like responding most of the time. It's not like I have too much homework or anything (hell, I'm a second semester senior, and I already know what college I'm going to), plus I think the time I was most busy in school (junior year) was also the time I posted the most. So, time isn't really a factor. I guess if I had to boil it down to one reason, it would be lack of interest. I still play on my N64 almost every day (currently the games I play are Harvest Moon 64, Courtside 2, and Wrestlemania 2000, and I keep meaning to finish JFG one of these days...), but I'm not really interested in posting about games. Maybe my priorities have changed, or something. Actually, I still find myself posting when I read something that pisses me off (like someone *cough*Stryder*cough* saying starcraft sucks =), but there haven't really been any new huge controversies, and I sometimes feel a little frustrated when we reiterate the same stuff over and over and over again (e.g. PSX vs. N64, etc..) So, at least for the foreseeable future, I'll be gone for the list. Being the sixth oldest current subscriber to the list, according to the member listing, I'll leave with some notes to the "old-timers" (heh, I'm actually only 17) ;-): D.Fentie: I can't ever remember really disagreeing with you on anything. Either I have a really short memory, or we think alike ;-). Don't let Trey get to you too much, just remember, Earthbound is bound to get here eventually =). SC forever. Stryder: In case you're worried or anything, those SC comments really aren't what drove me away =). Besides that, I've always thought you were one of the most reasonable and level-headed people on the list. Dex and the rest of the Dojo gang: Thanx for running a great site, keep it up, guys. Dex, try to cut down on the cryptic messages about secret Nintendo/Rare plans, they drive everyone crazy ;-). and of course, Trey: Man, you have possibly given me the most grief out of anyone on the list. Sometimes I wonder why someone who apparently dislikes the N64 as much as you seem to is even on this list. But, I have to admit, you have been preaching the truth on occasion, and you serve to balance out legions of Nintendo loyalists. Arguing with you has been fun, but also frustrating when you change the topic suddenly with non-sequiters ;-). Trey, you are the only member ever to post on the list drunk, AFAIK, and also to leave the list and come back under another name, all the while denying you were back (something I definitely will NOT be doing. If I come back, you'll know). I still find it amazing that I was able to recognize you even when you were UrbanIdiot... kind of scary, actually ;-). Here's to hoping that Dolphin will be better than N64, and PD will finally give you another game in your N64 collection. sorry if I left anyone out, I was just working from the top of my head. I've had a great time on the list, and we should all bow down and build a shrine to Greg and Vi and Wez, who take the time to keep this list maintained.
