The Z button isn't much help in it except for skipping some of the intros, but think about it. You use the C buttons for the rocket attacks, the A to jump, and B to grab/throw. Still, on a console in dire need of some good old fashioned 2D play mechanics, I enjoyed Mischief Makers quite a bit. By the same token, Fighters Destiny, a game that looked like the SNES could do with polygons (although, we know it couldn't), while not the best fighter, also got points for being original and simplistically fun. Could be another rumour.  But it seems like Europe has been a ripe ground for leaking  information lately. I remember X-Box's unofficial specs were confirmed there and Nintendo dropped hints of GBA at the ECTS last year.  Perhaps this is due to the fact that  Europe is another continent away and whatever is said is harder to confirm in the game capitals here in the State and in  Japan.

So yes, it is likely to be real and based on the article could be consistent with Square's plan to do a massively multiplayer rpg not limited by a single platform.  If this is true, then it could be interesting news.
