When are they going to make a other Hardcore game like WaveRace64? > > -Boudewijn- Oh the memories... Here's a little story. WaveRace 64 was the first ever game I rented for the N64 console. I was a dark and rainy night (that's practically everyday here in Vancouver) having no access to an automobile at the time, I had to take a 15 minute walk to my old hangout; a mom and pops videogame store that rents games and sell used games. When I got there, I knew what I wanted. Wave Race 64! So I proceeded to make the rental, and took another 15 minute walk home. It was a friday night, so I had just gotten home from school before making the trip to rent Wave Race, so when I finally got home, for the second time, I quickly turned the power on and plugged in the game, then proceeded to make dinner. As I was making dinner (I think it was macaroni) I heard sea guls calling, the sound of water splashing, a cheesy jazzy type music starting up, so i walked to where my 27 inch RCA TV (not as classy as Stryder's Trinitron, but it gets the job done) and saw the most beautiful, as the time, game I've laid eyes on. Just watching the waves splash about, the water, it blew me away. I hit reset and watched the intro sequence several times, for the most part, simply staring at the water effects. THen, I finally got to play the game over the weekend, got hooked into it right away and returned the game, with great reservation, on Sunday. The next thing I did was to get myself a copy... - -- Dexter S. resort. (Remember Last Resort for the Neo-Geo? That game kicked arse!) But
you know, if the game is gonna get cheap and throw bosses like that at ya,
well, two can play at that game. Besides, I already put 30 hours into Final
Fantasy 9, I got my money's worth already. (My scale for a $40 to $50 game
is 9 to 12 hours of gameplay and such, so I'm well past that) I really can't
end sentences, hmm? Like I was saying, I already put over 72 hours into
Perfect Dark. No that's not what I was talking about, oh yeah FF9, well so
Zidane will be a bit more powerful now. But hey, I got Skies of Arcadia
waiting in the wings and I'd really like to finish FF9. So who cares, right?
Who here hasn't once cheated in an RPG to get past a certain point?

I agree Dave.  There are some parts in certain games that are nearly
impossible to beat without some help.  I don't like it when people use a
Gameshark or cheat codes from the very first of the game, but I definately
think that it's OK to use it if you get stuck or something like that.
