Since your platformer selection seems to be a bit dry, it'd probably be a good idea to get Conker. I don't know if I'd call Paper Mario a "deep" RPG, and the battle system may take some getting used to, but it's still very enjoyable (length wise, around the size of Mario RPG). Basically, this is a very tough choice you have to make. Both games are definitely worthwhile. I guess I'll go with Conker, since, like I said, you haven't played many (good) platformers lately. Lucky son of a..... err, anyway.  Since your platformer selection seems to be

Congrats on your good fortune.

I've played and finished both.  And I thoroughly enjoyed both. But I would say that if you had to choose only one, I'd go with Conker's BFD.  The story was outrageously funny, and many of the tasks you had to do were outright difficult, and that's what made it so rewarding to beat.  And many times I went back and replayed those chapters that were so challenging, just to see if I could do it again...and about an hour later I realized I was addicted.  :)

Anyway, that's my advice...go with the red squirrel.

Before it's gone....gone....gone...

Okay, one word I don't get is "scatology" and I'm too lazy to look it up. I did get a chance to play Paper Mario today at Toys R Us and it was entertaining, for those 5 minutes I played of it. Oh yeah, TRU is selling gold coloured N64 systems (with two gold controllers) for $99 and selling the gold controllers for $30 a piece. A gold controller would be nice, but $30 for something that doesn't rumble or have analog buttons seems pretty steep. That and my yellow controller still has life left in it since I don't play the N64 all that much. Maybe I should buy another lottery ticket? =) On a non related note, Evolution 2: Far Off Promise for Dreamcast is $9.98 at Toys R Us. I still have money left for Conker or paper Mario, but it I think I'm just going to buy some DVDs. I don't know. ~~ Dave ~~ "If your palms and underarms are bleeding, it might not be a twist off."
