E3 isn't the show that should be open to more people; a new show (much more
like the Tokyo Game Show) would be far more appropriate. While there are the
showfloors, media persons do attend a lot of conferences and conduct
interviews, something that with public intervention would be a near
impossibility. Besides, that just because the media hasn't been able to
effectively cover the show yet, flooding the floor with people from the
public (who serve no purpose other than to play the game for themselves) will
make it utterly impossible.

Hobby or not, the bottom line is this: the show isn't meant for the public.
It might be more fun for those who sneak in to play the game than to read
about it, but what about all those who are unable to attend? How fun is for
them when they have nothing to read? Zero. The IDSA should be pressured (or
some other large corporation) to open a North American show for the public
much like the TGS; but again, E3 isn't that show.
