I have to say this game is AMAZING!!! This is an RPG straight out, no strings attached, no action/RPG just pure RRRRPPPPGGGGG!!! This is how ports SHOULD be, same music, graphical enhancements and a few extras (however not annoying). They have added a personality system into the game which can change and is also determined at the start by 'fate' questions which change each time you start a new game as well as one out of 7 or 8 scenarios in which you can be a monster or whatever they cast you as. Your actions at this bizzare yet interesting start of the game determines what your personality ultimately becomes. Battle actions have been added to the characters to give them more life and town exploring speed has been GREATLY increased to get rid of that annoying walking-and-waiting feeling. If you like RPG's and have a GBA or GBC then you're not doing yourself a favour in passing this game up. It has a good storyline, the game is NOT for kids (some languague just isnt appropriate), the game itself will take at least 50 hours of gameplay without working on side quests, 7 character classes (I believe) all with their own attributes/spells/etc, hundreds of weapons/armour/spells/secrets and a VERY gripping soundtrack. One more thing about this game is that it stays true to it's roots in that the game is not an easy one to complete. I would say it is medium-hard in difficulty especially when collecting some of the orbs (ie the silver orb). I find too many games today to be too easy or frustratingly hard. Dragon warrior III has found the happy medium while dragging your further inward.
