I was playing X-Box. Ten seconds left in the game (A football game, I forget which one). I needed 3 points to tie, 4 to win. It was 4th
quarter (Sounds like some war story, lol). So, I set up a Fake Field Goal to try to take home the victory (ties are as bad as losing). I hike
                 it, and...................................

The X-Box crashes! Lol! The X-Box crashed! Ahahahahaha....
The next thing I know, is the store clerk looks up and says "Dangit, not again!" And the other store clerk laughed, "Get a Playstation 2 or
                 GameCube!"

Well, after that, I left the store, went to TRU, and played GameCube there for a while (I wanted to test Luigi's Mansion a little.)

Well, X-Box crashes as much as their computers do. Lol!

He's said it numerous times already. Had both reserved, but decided to put off his GC purchase and get an XB first. Like he said, he was just pointing out how ironic it was that you've been ranting on and on for months about how the XBOX would be crashing left and right, and it turns out that more GC crashes are reported. >Of course people on this list will be taking your side. You're an > >oldtimer. A buddy. Kudos to them for their loyalty. That only >speaks >volumes about Nintendo fans. :) > Wrong again, Rick. If I disagree with Stryder, I'll let it be known. You should've seen the discussion on whether "Mario Sunshine" sounded kiddie. ;-) I'm siding with Stryder because all he is guilty of is choosing one system over another because there were more games he wanted for one. First chance you got after that, you started your endless rants on how stupid it is to choose an XBox over Gamecube. I disagreed with the decision, but didn't feel the need to start flame wars because someone was buying something that I wasn't instead of something I was. How about saying something like "Well, you get what you want, but I want GC instead because........" Sounds better than suddenly jumping to the conclusion that if someone's buying an XBox first, they must be a suck-up-MS-fanboy. - -Satoshi _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp - ------=_NextPart_000_40eb_79ab_2084 Content-Type: message/rfc822 From owner-NGamers@lists.xmission.com Sat, 24 Nov 2001 07:09:04 -0800 Received: from [198.60.22.7] by hotmail.com (3.2) with ESMTP id MHotMailBDC902E4001C4004389DC63C160781E70; Sat, 24 Nov 2001 07:08:32 -0800 Received: from domo by lists.xmission.com with local (Exim 2.12 #2) id 167ePf-0006rt-00 for ngamers-gooutt@lists.xmission.com; Sat, 24 Nov 2001 08:08:15 -0700 Received: from [216.136.173.32] (helo=smtp012.mail.yahoo.com) by lists.xmission.com with smtp (Exim 2.12 #2) id 167ePd-0006ro-00 for NGamers@lists.xmission.com; Sat, 24 Nov 2001 08:08:13 -0700 Received: from unknown (HELO yahoo.com) (129.109.231.173) by smtp.mail.vip.sc5.yahoo.com with SMTP; 24 Nov 2001 15:08:12 -0000 Message-ID: <3BFFB8AB.BBED8A@yahoo.com> Date: Sat, 24 Nov 2001 09:11:39 -0600 From: Rick Sharer X-Mailer: Mozilla 4.7 [en] (Win95; I) X-Accept-Language: en MIME-Version: 1.0 To: NGamers@lists.xmission.com Subject: Re: [NG] My Gamecube crashed...also one other thing References: <115.8261758.29306e4c@aol.com> <3BFF2205.9D026FFC@yahoo.com> <001001c174a3$e0746420$8822fea9@swbell.net> Content-Type: text/html; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Sender: owner-NGamers@lists.xmission.com Precedence: bulk Reply-To: NGamers@lists.xmission.com Thraxen wrote:

Let's make this really simple so even you cen undestand it.
Even with the typos I can understand.  :)
Can you deny that there appears to be a bad batch of RL copies out there and
that people have experience far more crashes with RL than any other current
game? (if you can, your plain illiterate)
Can you read?  I've already posted here that I've seen a couple of people post that they froze up in RL.

A couple.  You try to make that sound as though the House of Nintendo is falling down.  When HUNDREDS of people reported XBOX crashes, you blew it off as "bashers".  You are biased, clearly...and clear to me that you are a biased fool.

Can you point me to any reports of repeated crashes for any XBOX games?
I already have.  If you have an account with Newsguy I can post the actual links, otherwise you wouldn't be able to access them and I'd be listening to you cry for two days how the links didn't work for you.

Your own link had posts where people were claiming that XBOX moderators were refusing to allow people to report their XBOX crashes.  Sure, there are people who are lying, but guess what Bright Eyes, they also lie about GC crashes as well.  Duh.

If you can't deny the first and can't do the second then you lose....because
those are the only two points I'm driving home.
The first was a strawman, the second is blatantly obvious if you can open your eyes to the prolific amount of posts all over the internet detailing specific XBOX crashes.  But you're blowing them off as "untrustworthy" reports, ergo they don't exist!  You're the Idiot.
 It's already quite clear
that your predictions of doom for XBOX software were utterly false
Stay tuned.  I'm already surprised that the Microsoft money marketing machine failed in their bid to outsell GameCube.  Really.  The XBOX failure is way ahead of schedule.  :)

Of course people on this list will be taking your side.  You're an oldtimer.  A buddy.  Kudos to them for their loyalty.  That only speaks volumes about Nintendo fans.  :)

I'm the Exception.
