Hmm, maybe you'd like Melee better.  It actually does let you use "up" for
jumping.  Of course, to do the second mid-air jump, you'll need to press
either Y or X.  Still, I'm very pleased with the new control scheme.
-Satoshi

My only gripe with the Smash Bros. Melee control is that the new over+B attacks take some getting used to. As Samus, I can charge up a nice shot, and then release it at just the right moment, but I'm pressing forward too much and I shoot a useless missile. yeah, missiles are good when I need them, but when I could get a KO with a charge shot and miss out because I shot a missile, well, it pisses me off.

Basic control scheme. Same buttons for projectiles, same buttons for throws, same for shields, same for smash attacks. The key is that since its so easy to cause damage, you need to hone your characters abilities and learn their strengths and weaknesses, like any great fighter.
