I see where you're coming from Matt but everyone in the game has the
same controls to work with so everyone else is in the same boat.

My only gripe
with the Smash Bros. Melee control is that the new over+B attacks take
some getting used to. As Samus, I can charge up a nice shot, and then release
it at just the right moment, but I'm pressing forward too much and I shoot
a useless missile. yeah, missiles are good when I need them, but when I
could get a KO with a charge shot and miss out because I shot a missile,
well, it pisses me off.

Basic control scheme. Same buttons for projectiles, same buttons for throws,
same for shields, same for smash attacks. The key is that since its so easy
to cause damage, you need to hone your characters abilities and learn their
strengths and weaknesses, like any great fighter.

Note the operative words "TO WORK WITH" Dave. They change the
sentence. ie: no person is immune to a certain function of the gameplay
that is communative with all other participants.

The only part that bothers me is the throw. I keep walking up to people and
pressing R. Once I let go I usually get pummeled into the ground.

Dunno. You sound like the type to just judge shit without playing it by just looking at what sport it is. I'm not a skater in real life, I don't really have any liking toward it...but the THPS games are incredible. I know Dave will back me up on this. They're just pure fun.
