There's always a weakness. The trick is finding it and defeating those babies *quickly*. What I'm trying to get down is where some days the baddies that you defeated stay gone, and then other days they have returned. I do like how the engine parts stay where you left them...once I was halfway to the ship with one and the countdown started...I had to abandon the task at the last second or lose 30+ pikmin...the next day the engine part was only a few yards from the ship! :) The first time I fought the spiderlike creature that blows boulders I couldn't figure out how to beat him...gang attacks, back attacks, bombs...nothing worked. So I sacrificed many Pikmin while another hoard snuck the part behind its back. Later (judging from the map) I *had* to kill one because only then do you get an engine part. Several restarted days later, I finally figured it out. :) Sounds like you're at the very end, so it stands to reason that the last boss is especially tough. When I want to take a break from that part of the game, I just choose to play the CHALLENGE option at the beginning for a change of pace. You can familiarize yourself with the levels all the while knowing that it is not affecting your real game. RS _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Despite being my most anticpated GameCube game sinec E3, I initially was disappointed with Super Monkey Ball -- but now I've really dug into it more and the same excitement that I once for the game is slowly seeping back in. The Mini Games are fantastic and outside of a few omissions, the game is an excellent niche title from Sega. Can't say I'm regretting that one.

Sega needs to get cracking on the GameCube software; already itching for PSO2 and future updates to the series.
