If I had a GBA, the games that I'd want for it are Super Mario Advance 2, Mario Kart, Sonic Advance, Final Fight One, Advance Wars, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, Castlevania, and Wario Land 4. I already have Sonic Adventure 2. And it didn't suck. If it sucked I wouldn't have beaten it on Hero, Dark, and Last. It wasn't the best, but it did shine on parts (the Sonic and Shadow stages mostly, but I liked Pumpkin Hill too). Worth having for Dreamcast, but not >worth having for Gamecube. > >===== >** Dave ** Ok, well maybe it didn't suck, but it was a pretty big disappointment. Yes, the Sonic stages were excellent, but they're blended in with all those Tails stages, which aren't that great (c'mon, why can't we just have Tails fly?), and the unbelievably horrible Knuckles stages, Pumpkin Hill being the worst one I've been to (especially with that bad Pumpkin Hill rap, which I had to listen to for an unbearable half hour of playing that stage looking for those d*mn emeralds). What I find really puzzling is: how is it that Sega kept the exact same Knuckles gameplay style from Sonic Adventure, but made it so that it doesn't work in SA2? His stages are boring, his rap music sucks, and after about five minutes in any of his stages, I've had enough. Level 12 is the reason I haven't played the game since August. Eventually, I'll probably play it to beat it, since I just need to get through that one stage and perhaps I can play as Sonic again, which will make it better. But, Knuckles just ruined the entire experience for me. What's really sad is that the thought of getting the GC one is still lingering in my mind because of the linking between Sonic Advance and the GC. Of course, with that $50 price tag, it probably won't be worth it until the game can be bought for something like $5 (in my dreams). Well, here's hoping that Sonic Adventure 3 comes to GC. 24 days til Sonic the Hedgehog SatAM DVD. - -Satoshi _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com [ To quit the NGamers mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe ] [ NGamers" (without the quotes) to majordomo@xmission.com ] ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 02 Feb 2002 11:38:16 -0500 From: Wez Subject: Re: [NG] GBA Price > Maybe it's just me, but I bet the GBA will be an $80 > unit for the next five years. Came after a great Sonic stage, then they stick me with another crappy Knuckles stage. I felt I needed a break after finding two crystals, then searching every f***ing crevice of the stage and coming up empty on the third piece. Except, after I turned it off, I didn't turn it back on since. And, c'mon now, you're comparing music to a cartoon series? For the record, SatAM Sonic had much better characters than any of those in any of the Sonic videogames, which is why, since 1993, I've wished that SEGA would make a game based on them. Seriously, lead a mission to Robotropolis. Play a stage with Bunnie's combat skills (metal arm and legs; oh yeah). Use Rotor's technical know-how to disrupt the roboticizer. Have Sonic rescue King Acorn from the Void. C'mon, that'd be kick arse. Who's with me?
