I can't wait to see GC versions of > F-Zero, World Driver, Top Gear Rally, Mario Kart, > ExciteBike, etc... > > matt ma . 92 SE-R > Funk that. Racing games, as far as selection of good titles, sucked on the N64. Well, compared to the Dreamcast and PlayStation. So far the Gamecube only has Wave Race: Blue Storm, if I'm not mistaken, and that doesn't even use the analog triggers for "gas & brake". Sure, there's Spy Hunter, 18 Wheeler, and Crazy Taxi, but those aren't really racers in the common sense. The N64 only had a few good racers, those being Mario Kart 64, Wave Race 64, Beetle Adventure Racing, F-Zero X, San Francisco Rush (maybe Rush 2 and SF Rush 2049, never played either), and Ridge Racer 64, if you ask me. There may be some others, but the high cost of N64 racers turned me away to the low cost of PSX and Dreamcast racers. What I'd like to see on the Gamecube is new exclusive titles as far as racers go. Like a Need For Speed but not with just Volkswagens, a V-Rally title (although V-Rally 3 for PS2 is looking so sweet) a new LeMans game (from Infogrames Melboune House, of course) that has more tracks and includes the 12 hours at Sebring (I'm wishing for that for either XBOX or Gamecube), a new Daytona USA game, something from Capcom that's cel shaded but not Auto Modellista, something different, ya know, a new SF Rush game that can maintian a rock solid 60 fps (unlike the rushed Dreamcast game SF Rush 2049, oh if Midway would have given Ed Logg a few more months, it would have been perfect), of course a new Mario Kart, and maybe a 'Gran Turismo' type game but with a huge selection of American and European cars and a minimal selection of Japanese cars, for once. By who, I'm not sure, but I'd be happy if it was done by Electronic Arts or Infogrames. But most of all, I want to see more racers with more than six cars going at it at once. Like in Test Drive: LeMans (Dreamcast, 'LeMans 24 Hours' on PS2) where mostly it's you against 23 other racers. And I want good AI, no, better AI. I'm tired of when the enemy racers are driving like they're on a rail and don't even know you're there (PGR and MSR had that problem), I want it so the AI cars have to modify their drving to try to win but also not to cause crashes, and also to give them personality traits on how they drive. (Test Drive: LeMans on Dreamcast and Need For Speed 3 & High Stakes on PSX are examples of really good enemy AI programming). I want Nintendo to get what Sony and Microsoft are getting and what SEGA used to get and deliver. ===== ** Dave ** super_trey_bros@yahoo.com AIM: Sanrio Velocity Felt like a bulldozer trying to catch a butterfly. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? The trick is to keep up with the MF. Don't let it get too far ahead of you but of course you don't want to stay too close. You should be at the point where the Ties appear but haven't started firing upon the MF. As soon as you seem them start firing at them. They usually come in 3's so be sure to wipe out each wave. There are about 4 waves and then you're clear. You might want to use the Infinite lives code to at least get past it. It won't help u of course when it comes to getting medals which is very very hard on alot of the missions. if u need any pointers let me know.
