Nonetheless, Project UnReality is quite capable of handling sprites. I would imagine that Mortal Kombat would execute *much* farther, but there are still some unhandled opcodes. There were a lot of games that had their price reduced to only $39.99, when they were $50-60 just a few weeks ago. It seems that many game prices were reduced without any official announcement from the publishers. I wonder if this has to do with Nintendo's recent price drop for 3rd party cartridges? It's about a squirrle, has a four-player deathmatch, impressive graphics, and the character's faces have animation to give the players clues about what to do. It's Rare's first completely self-published title, and looks very promising. ~Bastion <> [ To quit the n64 mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe n64" ] [ (without the quotes) to majordomo@xmission.com ] ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 8 May 1998 23:04:42 -0400 From: "Tocher" Subject: [N64] Goldeneye's Sequel at E3 EAD made 1080 Snowboarding in 9 months. Goldeneye 007 came out 9 months ago in the US, but it was undoubtedly finished at least a month before, or longer, to give time for any marketing and testing and finalizing. Rare has definately had enough time to get some good work done on a sequel to Goldeneye 007, and they already have the engine. They need to tweak out the engine a bit to make better use of the N64, and then spend time designing a game, and not that much on making the game work. PSX sequels go by very fast, so a sequel to Goldeneye at E3 would not be a let down, I don't think they would be rushing it if they showed it at E3. Why can't people just wait for a game to be finished properly b4 release rather than moaning afterwards about how it could have been better? Its a no win situation, you can either have fast releases and bad games or wait a bit longer for a good game.
