Ok. I have a pretty good idea what y'all prefer this month. Banjo-Kazooie. I was on the Italian Baseball Champions 2 years in a row(then I moved) and my team was 2 games from going to the Little League World Series. I agree that just because a game is in high res mode doesn't mean it will have great graphics, but if Banjo was done in high res I'm sure it would be absolutely stunning. It all depends on what kind of attention the developer gives to the graphics. Second, digital TV's are going to be a rich man's toy for quite awhile. They are talking about debuting them at $7,000-$12,000. Sorry, but I would rather buy a car and keep my PC. Dreamcast will probably be gone by the time I can afford one, plus the Dreamcast will surely be designed without the capability to send a true digital signal to a HDTV. Consoles, such as the N64, on the other hand have all that stuff taken care of for you for about 5 to 7 years. A console is a computer that's solely dedicated to games. The PSX is still awesome, but the games are getting dated. This is mainly because there isnt much more developers can do with it. When Dreamcast comes out, it will be the graphical powerhouse that we all expect it to be, and when the PSX2 arrives it will probably take over as the more powerful system. True, except I'm pretty sure I read that the Dreamcast's resolution goes up to 1280x1024 or something like that. So, even if HDTV's are not widespread during it's life, it might actually have a mini (note: very small) boom later because some games that looked pretty darn good before will now take advantage of higher resolutions and look stunning. Kind of like the graphical boom the N64 will have if, and when, the 4 meg RAM upgrade will be released. Maybe a hi res Zelda? Mmmmm, hi res Zelda... Actually I believe the Sony one currently out is only like 700 or something (only... ha) I think you mean the gas tv's (they display color by different colored xenon or neon, something like that) that hang on your wall, but everything goes down in price, and within a year of dreamcast's release i'm sure HD tvs will not be unheard of.
