Regular Poes circle you and attack you. To get them, what I do is shoot arrows while riding Epona. I ride around until one appears in front of me. I keep going through the same area slowly until I get it. Try this: Have Epona take a few steps in the direction of the Giant Poe. Although Zelda: Link's Awakening didn't translate very well on it (after seeing the upcoming color version, the limited color of the original version just looks dated) , pre-rendered games like Donkey Kong land were absolutely stunning. I'm not exagerrating, but it looks exactly like the SNES DKC games, minus the SNES colors. Some of you probably know that SuperGameboy simply replaces the four shades of gray in GameBoy with four shades of colors. That is no longer the case with GBC. What worked really well was the fact that GBC can drop one set of colors on sprites and another set on background. In Donkey Kong Land for example, the pre-coded color palette for Donkey Kong Land stored in the GBC called for the machine to color Donkey Kong and all the sprites in 3 shades of brown, while the background is colored in 4 shades of light blue. The resulting separation of colors works extremely well in making moving objects stand out. In addition to the nice graphics, the screen is crystal clear and scrolling is rock solid (none of that blurring) seen in the original gameboy. That said, one can imagine how a ACM rendered game that fully takes advantage of the GBC hardware is going to look on the machine. I fully recommend getting GBC. From what I have seen, this is a true renaissance for Game Boy. Bye bye to the dark ages. Dexter S. Oh well guess we'll have to add it to the list of games to look for in 99, or better yet just keep it as TBA. kevin [ To quit the n64 mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe n64" ] [ (without the quotes) to majordomo@xmission.com ] ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 02 Dec 1998 22:07:13 -0500 From: "Wes Day (Wezzer)" Subject: Re: [N64] This has nothing to do with Zelda - Zelda free The ONLY site for them: Guide 64 http://members.aol.com/capscott Kevin Mapp wrote: > Comrades, > > I know that this was just asked, but what is a good > site that has reliable, up to date, release dates > for games? > > Thanks, > > Kevin > > [ To quit the n64 mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe n64" ] > [ (without the quotes) to majordomo@xmission.com ] [ To quit the n64 mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe n64" ] [ (without the quotes) to majordomo@xmission.com ] ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 2 Dec 1998 21:15:10 -0800 From: "Chad Stuart" Subject: Re: [N64] Turok 2 It may be wrong, but IGN had an article about it.
