The sad thing is, rupees are really not that important or hard to get in the game. The 76 skulltulas I got, I found just getting to the end of the game...I had already heard that you only get a huge rupee for getting all 100, and since money is not important in the game, saw no point in getting them all. Does anyone already have a Dex Drive? If so, what are your impressions of it? For those of you who don't know what a Dex Drive is, it is a device which allows you to hook up your Controller Pak to your computer. By doing this you can save and backup game files on your computers HD. And, once they're on your hard drive, you can send them via e-mail to other gamers, who can then download the save files, through the Dex Drive, into their own Controller Paks. A lot of gaming sites are even going to be dedicating entire sections to the Dex Drive, so that it is easier for gamers to share files. - --David [ To quit the n64 mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe n64" ] [ (without the quotes) to majordomo@xmission.com ] - --------------7ADC484F7C72-- [ To quit the n64 mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe n64" ] [ (without the quotes) to majordomo@xmission.com ] ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 07 Dec 1998 11:08:48 -0600 From: D Fentie Subject: Re: [N64] oh Mother Huh? you cant find one that works??! The steering is much more difficult that TGR and you don't get as good a feel for the road, but you get used to it. In one end of the cave there will be a piece of heart, in the other there will be a block you must move around to get all of the silver rupees. As for the well, go back to when you were a kid and play the song of storms in the windmill for the guy. All the water will drain out. Then go down the well (still as a kid) and crawl through the little hole. There should be a big spider you must kill and then a skeleton and a wall. Talk to the skeleton (or check it) if you want. He will tell you to 'find the truth' or something like that. So WALK THROUGH THE WALL where the skeleton is sitting and you will go right through. Then you must search this mini dungeon for the glass of truth. Zelda is a HUGE game pushing the N64 to its limits in terms of RAM transfer, video update, etc. I wouldn't think it would happen in the Lost Woods, with the heavy fog and small "rooms," but maybe playing the Ocarina was the straw that broke the camel's back. Once, while I was playing Goldeneye (remember THAT ancient game? ;)) with some of my friends, we (all 4) were all together in the main room of the archives, throwing mines at each other, and the game overloaded and broke to a halt. I wanted to play on, but because of this there's no way I'd be able to get very far on this game. Because of this, you might want to rent before buying. matt ma [ To quit the n64 mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe n64" ] [ (without the quotes) to majordomo@xmission.com ] ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 7 Dec 1998 17:16:51 EST From: EastsideJM@aol.com Subject: [N64] How do i get inside Jabu-Jabu you heard the subject. Has anyone played this on the PC? I haven't heard much about this game, but the TV commercial makes it look really good! As far as I know, it looks like 3rd person stealth/action shooter; you take a team of special government agents and infiltrate terrorist camps or other similar missions. You layout the plan of attack and then execute it with your team. It sounds very promising! Hopefully the N64 version won't disappoint! matt ma [ To quit the n64 mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe n64" ] [ (without the quotes) to majordomo@xmission.com ] ------------------------------ End of n64-digest V1 #618 ************************* [ To quit the n64-digest mailing list (big mistake), send the message ] [ "unsubscribe n64-digest" (without the quotes) to majordomo@xmission.com ]
