The first game, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron is already finished and hit N64 last December -- but what about the others? http://ign64.ign.com/previews/10490.html MOVIE VS. GAME How close is Star Wars: Episode I Racer to its movie inspiration? LucasArts had direct access to Lucasfilm's archives for the production of Star Wars: Episode I Racer for the Nintendo 64 -- and it shows. The pods and characters all look very similar to their movie counterparts and the Tatooine track sports all the right rock formations and Star Wars sights. My worst fears would be confirmed and I would fly back to San Francisco wishing I had never witnessed the game in motion. During last week's contest, none of you answered all three questions correctly: 1. What N64 peripheral features optical sensing technology, plug and play auto zero circuitry, and is made from lightweight ABS plastic? 2. What creatures in Zelda really know how to "rock"? 3. If you order a Scorpion for four at the Tonga Room in the San Francisco Fairmont, what will you find four of on the bowl in which it is served? (Hint: it's not four scorpions.) The first two answers are the Glove and the Gorons. As you probably guessed, number three posed a bit of a problem for people. Let me give you guys a few hints of what the answer isn't: (As inspired by Dr. Seuss) It's not straws, It's not bear claws, It's not cabooses, It's not baby mooses, It's not slices of lime, Or sprigs of thyme, It's not pink umbrellas, blue, yellow or green It's not a legume, not a solitary bean... All right, enough of that, you get the idea. So, answer question #3 correctly and you could win a copy of 720 for the Game Boy Color as well as some weird spell game thing my mom gave me that I've been trying to get rid of for a while. And if you entered last week, you get another crack at it this week. Send your entry (one per person) with the correct answers to newsletter@imaginegames.com by Monday, March 29, 1999.
