I bought the Saturn for mainly fighting games (X-Men Vs. Street Fighter, MSH Vs. Street Fighter, Vampire Saviour, Virtua Fighter 2, Fighter's Megamix) And I plan to buy a Dreamcast mainly for fighting games as well (Power Stone, Virtua Fighter 3 tb, Marvel Vs. Capcom, Soul Calibur, and Street Fighter Alpha 3) Thank goodness Interact is bringing out a controller with 6 face buttons. I care not for the old school RPGs as of late (Star Ocean 2 & Lunar SSSC), 3-D (or mostly 3-D) is how they should be (FF7 & 8, Xenogears). Old school fighters? As much as I like the 2-D Capcom games I'm beginning to lean towards the polygon fighters more. It's been out for 3 years and I still can't get enough of Soul Blade. Smash Bros. is another fine example. But some genres still are great now as they were 10 years ago, those being sidecrolling shooters (like Einhander, Thunderforce 5, and R-Type Delta) Trey Oh yeah, and I'm from Slacker City, not Bumsville. FIRST of all, that does not mean the game is not good.. The game looks good, and for all you fans of quake, doom, etc, you will probaly love it.. The reason I am taking it back is because, running through the enviornments of quake and doom etc. never seems to intrest us for too long.. We loved bond so much because it was so much more realistic.. and the levels were real.. so I probaly got it trying to find something to tie me down till perfect dark comes out, but I guess it's back to bond for us.. BUT remember I'm not giving the game a negative review, it looks like a great game, however it's just not for me... Nev.. Last night I decided to hook up my Atari 1200XL (with the Atari 410 Cassette Drive) just for something to do. I have found my huge (30 cassettes) collection of programs for the 410 but I can't remember how to get the 410 to load the games. Can anybody remember what to type to fire it up? That's why I still have my Atari 2600 and still regularly hit a local bar for a few rounds of Donkey Kong, Galaga, Ms. Pac Man, Moon Patrol, Defender, Out Run, etc. You kids are making me feel old. I was 10 years old in 1980. JG PS - You totally set yourself up for that one, D. Fenseless. But yes, I like games that resemble the ones that I played as a boy because of the nostalgic feeling I get. Does anyone else feel the same way?!?!?
