They work at their own pace, they always have. The reason why there seems to be more titles by Square these days has nothing to do with Sony pushing them. The are a bunch of Super FamiCom Square titles that never made it to America, which I blame Nintendo for. (Final Fantasy 5 anybody?) And if Square would have stuck with Nintendo I doubt we would never have seen a game like Xenogears. I swear, you will blame anything on Sony. It is exactly the opposite of what you said. Square chose Sony because they had the format that allowed them to do what they wanted. Square's games are exactly as they want them to be.
