Both systems have several games the have nothing but 7's or higher. If anything, I think some of the are overrated. Like Pokeman Snap. I'll never understand the attraction of the whole Pokeman thing. Especially not a game where all you do is take pictures and a child can finish it in under 2 days. > more for games, there has to be a good reason. That does seem a little odd, especially getting obvious stuff like the Mario/Wario things wrong. There has been nothing that got my interest except for WDC & SW:Ep #1 racer, but I'm not going to spend $60 for WDC and haven't even finished SW:Ep #1 racer yet. I bought racer the day it was released in May, but outside of that, I haven't bought an N64 game. The past few N64 games haven't attracted me. On the other hand I just bought 3 psx games and two snes games. One, Wild 9, Driver, DKC & Super Metroid have been keeping me entertained the past few weeks. The only psx games I can remember coming up that I want are Dino Crisis & Macross VFX2. I'm not too hot on Macross VFX2 after the demo was one of the worse games I've ever played. >Is there anyone else on this list who will just get all of them? I can't >be the only one. I ordered my DC two months ago with Powerstone & NFL 2K. Then, I reserved Sonic and now can't decide whether I want to get Trickstyle,NFL Blitz 2000, or Ready to Rumble. I'm leaning towards Blitz, but I already have one football game coming. Maybe it's the four player, arcade perfect translation I'm thinking about. Trickstyle is getting some praise, but NG listed the current top ten reaason to get a DC and Ready 2 Rumble was #1, above Soul Calibur, which got perfect reviews from famitsiu (sp?). Tough choice... I brought up the Dolphin vs. PSX2 thing as a one or the other. I will be getting both. Oh yeah.... Sonic Adventure (a platformer)? Soul Calibur (an arcade fighter?). One of the reasons I'm not that sad that I don't have money for Dreamcast is that it lacks the sort of "event" titles that the N64 is known for, and even the PSX to a lesser degree. When there's a new Zelda game coming, everyone knows it'll be good, and gets hyped up. Same for Mario.. and Donkey Kong, and Samus, etc. On the PSX, something similar happens with Final Fantasy. But besides Sonic, Sega lacks the broad appeal games with known brands. If you look at the 24 launch titles, there really aren't any that will appeal to everyone from grade school to adult (besides Sonic). More evolutionary that revolutionary, but that's expected due to the increasing technology curve. We'll see it again next year when the 'mature' mario drops for the Dolphin & the PSY hit the market. >Sonic Adventure (a platformer)? >Soul Calibur (an arcade fighter?). One of the reasons I'm not that >sad >that >I don't have money for Dreamcast is that it lacks the sort of "event" >titles >that the N64 is known for, and even the PSX to a lesser degree. What did the PSX have? It was Sony's first console & titles like Toshinden, Twisted Metal, & even Ridge Racer, which was an arcade translation, had to start somewhere. The DC *might* be getting the same type of start with titles like Ready2Rumble, Trickstyle, & Blitz 2000. Sony's established brands in the beginning came from other consoles, then we started seeing the Spyro's, Rayman's, & Crash. >When there's >a new Zelda game coming, everyone knows it'll be good, and gets hyped up. >Same for Mario.. and Donkey Kong, and Samus, etc. On the PSX, something >similar happens with Final Fantasy. If you look at the 24 launch titles, there >really aren't any that will appeal to everyone from grade school to adult >(besides Sonic). I'm not familiar with ALL the launch titles, but I see enough diversity for me get one. The next game I'm waiting for is Sega Get Bass & Furballs, NOT Soul Calibur. Sega doesn't have anything besides sports in Sept. to draw a lot of people. But, we'll probably see some differnt titles when the holiday season rolls around.
