Reminds me of BladeRunner. Anyone remember the RPG ShadowRunner for 16-bit? Reminds me of that game too. Unless something drastically unforseen happens to Sege (like a lot of consumers suddenly deciding DC is the best thing since sliced bread) or Sony and Nintendo seriously mishandling their machines, I don't see how Sega can really be powerful enough to challenge the other two giants. These two companies are here to stay and they have a bank full of cash and a marketful of allies to back it up. A three way split likely? I say yes. After that, the software better be awesome if they're gonna hold their market share when the next two systems drop & pay back what they owe. That being said, the stuff they're offering this year looks great . I saw the Shenmue footage on the DC tape being shown in stores and my mouth droppped. They really need to have a great year though. They will need to have a fairly large user base before the PSX2 and Dolphin launch. If they cane a steady supply of good games they will do fine. A lot of people predicted that the PSX would die when N64 was launched, but it did not even phase the PSX...because in the end, it is the software that matters. PSX has tons. If Dreamcast can do the same... Also, dex, I don't buy your theory that only 2 consoles can survive in the game industry. That may have been true a few years back, but the industry is so much larger than it used to be.
