Actually, I did already know this, and consider it a huge blotch on Eno's otherwise fine career. I knew it was a matter of time before I seen Terence mentioned here. Regarding 2012, I think Terence's Novelty theory suggests that time is rapidly speeding up, speeding up to the point where in 2012(which, as Merrick pointed out, corelates with the Mayan calander), time and matter, as we know it, will change into something unlike anything we have experienced. Through a combination of psychadelics, the I Ching, and some wild intuition, Terence has given us all something to think about. I think the spoken words at the end of S.A.L.T. from Orblivion kinda describe what Terence 'kinda' expects. Even Terence will tell you that HE don't know exactly for sure, just that his theory and Timewave(a graph that shows peaks and valleys--or 'Novelty' and 'Habit', Novelty being the dips) show throughout history that many important events correspond with the graph. In December, 2012, the line on the graph fall completely off!! IF and when this takes place(and I'm not buying it as the absolute gospel, neither does T.), and things become surreally hyperspatial, I certainly expect the Orb to be the 'house' music ;-) Sorry for the off topic nature of this, but it gets my blood flowing.
